Ver Quo performed live on UK TV on two separate shows last night. They must have a very good agent!

It's a pity that the Manics didn't release "1985" off their fantastic record, btw.

Should I be ashamed that I never heard of Status Quo?

Could anybody calculate in which position PSB would be in that list considering the lenght of each career? :?

PSB is the first duo in that list. :D

These figures are wrong. Both of them, DM & the PSB have had 36 Top-40 hit singles.
They are apparently top 75 singles, not top 40. DM has had at least three non-top 40 singles: Dreaming Of Me, Little 15 and Something To Do (which spent a year at number 75 last November, because it was the a-side track on one of the ETS 04 12-inch singles).

And maybe they have counted DJ Cultu-REMIX as a separate entry as it is listed on the Guiness Book Of Hit Singles and maybe even Absolutely fabulous or Hallo Spaceboy?

As for the Manics, they had 6 reissues on Epic that charted in September 1997. Here' the titles with corresponding highest chart entry for each re-issue:

Little Baby nothing: 50

Love's sweet exile: 55

Motorcycle emptiness: 41

Slash n' burn: 54

Stay beautiful: 52

You love us: 49

These would probably account for the discrepencies mentioned earlier.

You are right, they have included:

DJ Culture(mix) 40

Absolutely fabulous: 6

This makes 38 in total.
Hallo Spaceboy is not included - it is considered as a David Bowie release.

Well, it just shows that you haven't been in the Army (now or then).

They will probably credit for the missing six "hit singles", yes.
