Dissapointed.

#1 Post by Grover »

I was just browsing through my VHS tapes of the Pet Shop Boys Weekend on MTV (11 years ago... 1994 or 95?) and realized how much I love this song!

It's really brilliant. I love the music, I love the lyrics, I love Neil's 'ahh-ah-haha...ou-ou-ouhou...' at the end and I love the video.

Really, this is a great song. I am not dissapointed at all.....

I was among the first few to ever hear it at Wembley Arena when N&C joined Electronic on stage for 3 songs.

Marvelous it was, marvelous I tells ya!

True...I think it was when Go West went to number one in the European Chart for three weeks. Anyway, is it possible to find Disappointed in any format other than the Lost World album, which is also quite impossible to find?
The CELL by Stephen King instantly hit number 1 in New York Times Bookseller Lists selling well over 200 thousand copies in three weeks. This affirms my opinion: People really need an occassional good horror read...

I think you're referring to the Cool World soundtrack, not Lost World. The extended version is also a bonus track on Electronic's For You cd-single (1996), but that's probably just as hard to find as the original 1992 single.

Definitely one of the best collaborations between Neil and another artist.

Its a great track and IMO the best by Electronic.
I love the bit when Bernhard Sumner plays that Roland JD800!!! I want one of them!
Also that girl dancing in it is sexy.

Do you think Neil might colaborate again with Barney and Johny?

"It´s fundamental that we do only exist in our own universe. When you like Pet Shop Boys, you are in our world. This is absolutely crucial to our entire outlook...what we do has an incredibly strong identity and applies only to us. It´s a case of not recognising the existence of anybody else!". Neil Tennant.

I guess there is no one here willing to sell his copy, either original single or the one you are talking about

I managed to buy the 12" back when released but knew nothing about the colaboration. Later I got a second hand CD5.
