My advice would be: Make this a happy album!
For some reason, "Numb", "Casanova in Hell" and "The Sodom & Gomorra show" don't sound like contents on a very happy album. Myself being miserable, I'm looking forward to a PSB album of such exquisite content of melancholy so that "Love is a catastrophe" will sound like an acid remix of "I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing".
Well, we know "Numb" talks about the pain feelings of Diane Warren (the songwriter of the song) when her mother died. It's a sad song (we listened the demo of the song on the bbc show "The Diane Warren story").

"The resurcionist" is not going to be a happy song, that's for sure.

Taking a look to the title of the songs, the correct title for the album could be "GOTHIC".

Songs about heterosexual love for a change seeing as heteros are in the main the biggest buyers of their music.

Fast classical music with PSB rhythms, like some parts of Battleship. Breaking glass like in Battleship. Emotional moments like in Battleship. :D
A song like Nyet on the new album.

But: no Pride and Predjudice music and no Dire Straits music, like some parts of Battleship.

Dreaming of the Queen
visiting for tea
You and her and I
and Lady Di

That may be because they have never faced a "real" natural disaster? I am sure Neil would write one if he had suffered...
The CELL by Stephen King instantly hit number 1 in New York Times Bookseller Lists selling well over 200 thousand copies in three weeks. This affirms my opinion: People really need an occassional good horror read...

That's a very interesting point. It makes you think about all those cans and papers.

I would like to see them do a proper concept CD.something night life should have been.

I would have it set up about a guy leaving the house , going out to bars a then the clubs, meeting someone, having sex then going home and to sleep.

the songs would each correspond to that in order, all relating about that 1 night

A hi-nrg (!) or a house album would do just fine, for me. Complete with all PSB melancholic trademarks spread throughout the record... plus lots of saxes, flute and trumpets playing along with the keyboards (I like brass...)
