#1 Post by Vicki »

Seems no one really loves it... Well, if there's no one who finds it their best work is there anyone else on this forum whose fav album it is? Or at least anyone who loves it?

OMG - how can you even ask this!
It is their best album ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't think ''Fundamental'' will be as great as ''Nightlife''
it's fabulous! the whole thing
Montage is their best tour, their Noghtlife look was the best
b-sides from Nightlife era are killer good songs!
everything is perfect!
cover of the album also! that's fantastic and all pics from Nightlife era!
I wish http://www.psbnightlife.com isn't closed

although I think they've chosen very bad singles and videos aren't that good - Drunk video is totally boring
they had such great new image - they should've done great sci-fi videos
I would chose 4 singles for that album:
- For your own good
- Closer to heaven
- Radiophonic
- Vampires

not beacuse they're my fav songs from the album
just beacuse they're very electro and fast and it would be great promotion for them

by the way, I've been reading along the Internet
seems like Release is the one who's been very disliked
I can imagine why but afterall, I like it
it's my second fav album after Nightlife 'cause those two albums are still new to me (I've been listening to others for years)
Release was a shock to fans 'cause they were starting good with Nightlife and going into more and more electro techno-oriented music and then they suddenly brought us a boring sound of guitar
but afterall, Release is a good album - but they could have done without him
I especially like Birthday boy although many people think it's too long, too boring and that lyrics aren't interesting, but I like it
my favs are (aside from singles): Birthday Boy, E-Mail, Love is a catastrophe, The night I fell in love. I can't stand The samurai in autumn, Here and You choose!

(i didn't want to make a special topic about Release, so I'll ask you here)

what do you guys think about Release (aside from Nightlife)
is it too boring for you or what?

Any album with both New York city boy and In denial on it can not be considered their best.

It's my favourite PSB album. Maybe that's just because it was my first PSB album, but I love it anyway. I just don't like one song: 'The only one', too bland.

NIGHTLIFE IS NUMBER ONE !!!

all the tracks are perfect - Closer To Heaven, Radiophonic, For You Own Good, Drunk, I don't know what you want but I can't give it any more, In Denial, Footsteps, Vampires etc....

No PSB album can, or ever will reach the dizzy heights of Behaviour. It's a near perfect masterpiece.

Nightlife is a good album, but it's about half way down my personal order of PSB albums.

All the albums have moments of brilliance and Nightlife certainly has its share I agree - Vampires , For Your Own Good, Footsteps (yes Footsteps!) C2H, I don't know what you want but I can't give it any more (one fo my top 10 ever), Happiness...even the beguiling "The Only One" actually captivates me now.

Release is a whole different thing though in my opnion. Stellar 'songs' and a real shift in mood. See, I love Samurai (especially the extended demo) despite it not quite 'fitting' on the album. Some of the arrangements are not to my liking e.g. Here - but the songs are as strong as the they;ve written. Love is a Catastrophe almost makes me cry every time I play it.

Behaviour though is the ultimate PSB album though.
