the singles that should have been

PSB often make odd choices for singles.

What songs do people think SHOULD have been singles, but were not.

My choice :

IN THE NIGHT
ONE MORE CHANCE
HOW CAN YOU EXPECT TO BE...(ALBUM VERSION)
THE END OF THE WORLD
YOUNG OFFENDER
DISCOTECA
THE SURVIVORS
CLOSER TO HEAVEN
FOOTSTEPS
BIRTHDAY BOY
POSITIVE ROLE MODEL

I'm afraid, I'm disagree with your choice.

For me there are only two songs wich haven't been singles that I think it could have had success: King's Cross and Shameless. Maybe One More Chance could have done something good. I don't know if One More Chance was going to be single from Actually, there is a version called One More Chance (7 inch mix).

as I always say just because you love a song doesnt mean that it translates into single worthy.ILOVE vampires. I dont think its a single.

I dont know how people think "discoteca" could have been a single. its a dirge.its a funeral set to a drumbeat.

young offender another example givin, its a great song us hardcore fans all love it, but its too abstract sounding music and lyric wise to make people say, hey I can relate to that I have to have it.

now "I didnt get where I am today" would have made a great theme song for some sitcom. it has a "friends' theme song kind of quality,

The song-writter of friends' theme song was Allee Willis who wrote with PSB "What have I done to deserve this?".

It doesn't explain anything, there is only something that I wanted to say because maybe someone on this forum didn't know that.

well it explains something to me as I always thought they sounded similiar, now come to find out the same person who wrote friends co-wrote I didnt get" so, it explains why the 2 sounded kinda alike to me.

No no Glenn. The same girl who wrote the Friends theme wrote "What have I done to deserve this?", not "IDGWIAT". I see where you're coming from about "IDGWIAT" sounding a bit like the friends theme though...I never looked that that song from that perspective before, hmm...
