EXCLUSIVE: I'm With Stupid (The Max Tundra Remixes)

#1 Post by stussyboy »

As far as I'm aware this is the first news to break regarding I'm with stupid remixers....avant-garde (whatever that means) electronica whiz-kid Max Tundra, who also happens to be a very good friend of mine, is contributing 2 remixes for the forthcoming single.

A brave and quite unusual choice for PSB who usually use (relatively) mainstream remixers from the house scene, Max is about as un-mainstream as you can get.

Of course, I cannot admit to having heard his mixes, officially unavailable still, but if I was to speculate....I would tell you they both increase the original's tempo whilst keeping the whole song structure and vocal. They remind me somewhat of the Jam & Spoon remix of Young Offender, but with the computer game effects turned up to 11.

If you're interested in Max Tundra, please check out maxtundra.com and I thouroughly recommend his 2nd album Mastered by Guy at the Exchange on Domino Records. PM if you want more info, but please don't ask for the tracks.

Cool. About time PSB explored the glitchy electronic route Neil so clearly loves.

Boards Of Canada to produce the next album anyone?
Woof.
