Then click on the Lunchtime Look North link.

It's about 4:40 minutes into broadcast.
The first concert I ever went to was Jean Michel Jarre's Destination Docklands. If this is half as spectacular as that, then it is most definitely worth the train fare!

Potemkin in Newcastle - 22 February '06
Pet Shop Boys will be performing their "Battleship Potemkin" music with the Northern Sinfonia orchestra at a free (but ticketed) event in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne on May 1. Full details here when we have them.

SO WHERE IS THE UPDATE THEN?

Its their performance, their website, yet no official news!!
Yes, this is quite surprising. I've just checked now, and still nothing shown. Just saw a brief interview with both Neil and Chris on Tyne-Tees TV. Expect to see something similar on BBC1 at 18:30. The ITV presenter told his colleague that 'You Only You Tell Me You Love Me When You're Drunk' is his favourite PSB track.

I get the impression they'll be wearing a lot of hats for this album.

It's also mentioned in The Guardian today (16th March) with a nice cartoon/caricature of Neil by artist Nicola Jennings

I go to some shops tomorrow so I can´t check the mag at the same time. :D
Interviewer:
-What would you tell someone about yourself if you wanted to impress them?

Chris:
-I´ve got a 12-inch plonker.

Rumour has it that the Sydney Opera House are interested in staging Potemkin on it's steps at some time in the future. Maybe the boys could incorporate it as part of their world tour....assuming of course they include Australia as part of their world tour.
