After the joyless blandifications of West End Girls Goes Petshopping (anodyne, middle-of-the-road eurotrash), here's a corking record that works as so much more than a joyless PSB pastiche.
While the West End girls cover versions are devoid of the ecstatic melancholia so characteristic of the back catalogue that they plundered so insipidly, If Neil Tennant Was My Lover, on the other hand, nods to the original inspiration in spirit and practice. It's also ludicrous and playful - hallmarks of the PSBs at their arcane best. No doubt the album is an atrocious affront to good taste, but I'll have to give it a listen for curiosity value alone...

There are lots of electronic music in Sweden these days that's inspired by PSB. My favorites being Biker Boy and Gentle Touch.
Heart by Biker Boy ; http://www.hybrism.info/files/bikerboy-heart.mp3 (He didn't just steal the title of the song)
