I ask myself if Integral could be consider in the future a PSB "classic". One of the PSB's Top 10 songs.

But what do you answer?

Are you particulary interested in it?, I don't think so.

On the surface, Luna Park appears to simply about friends going to the funfair that is Luna Park.

However, some might read more into it.....make your mind up with this sample:

In Luna Park it cant be dark to soon.....

The second half of the song becomes darker....

The futures dark in Luna Park.......

A reference to drugs perhaps? Or friendship that doesn't last? Or perhaps illness a la Being Boring?

We will have to wait for the Boys to tell us!

For me Luna Park is the sibling song to Sodom & Gomorrah Show, a more placid and restrained take on the same theme. It's the circus at the end of the pier, at the end of the world, with N&C as the enigmatic ringmasters...

According to Literally, Luna Park is a metaphor for the USA

... which - aside from the graphic descriptions of the song - is what most interests me about it.

For PSB purists, I think 'I Made My Excuses......' will be the classic.

I suspect this and Eldritch reviews are probably accurate. I no longer feel my top ten albums ever list will need re-adjusting, but I hope for a good dent in my albums of the year list (I make to many lists...).

Nice to hear an opinion on it from from Zeus, who is probably a big loss from this site now things are picking up.

I like the fact it has grown on an ear as critical as Eldritch's (not literally, you understand... and, gad, how can an ear be critical )..

Its great that zeus likes it so it should be a strong CD. what I found odd was eldritch said 'Imade my excuses' sounded like hey headmaster and view from your balcony, yet zeus said casanova in hell did using both those same examples.

doesnt matter in the end cause thats great news for me as I love hey headmaster and always wished they would write more songs in that vein.

Why is everyone so fascinated with posting about Anne Dudley and Birthday Boy when a distinguished member of the Pethead intelligentia has just posted their review of Fundamental?

Probably because hardly anyone has actually heard the album, so, what's there to say really.

Based on all of the reviews so far (all 5 of them, or is it 4?), it seems that this is going to be a perfectly serviceble album, with many good tracks.

Well it's a review at least, not one of those 'should I, shouldn't I?' teases, masquerading as reviews that we got on here in the early days.

Personally I think 'Numb' (even though Zeus likes the song) could divide opinion. I'm not liking it resembling the demo, with or without Neil's voice. With the Warren demo I just didn't respond well to the lyrics or the music. It left me numb. This song doesn't seem like the kind of warren I would like to be a bunny in. (I know, what did you expect, Easter's around the corner.)

However, I think we can assume that the album is not the big floor filling hands in the air killer pop album we wanted, (not that that's a bad thing). I love the idea of Pet Shop Boys going Bodies Without Organs on us.

quite possibly some are on review overkill. I notice alot of the reviews seem to be fairly uniform. so I think alot did read zeus's and thought... hmm cool ....and then moved on. I mean, dazzerUKUK,Ting Tong,eldritch,tom halo,zeus someone else I cant remember now you get the idea.

whats funny for me is the flightpath of this fundamental CD that is making the rounds of the internet, stopping at certain peoples houses and then moving on while the rest of us losers are looking for it.

it reminds me of one of those old british slapstick routines where a bunch of people are running after someone, he runs into a closet,they follow inside and see nothing but an empty closet,and the guy comes out way down the hallways thru another door and they are off again after him etc etc,while banjo music is playing in the background.

Well, I think you mean French farce where a lot of 70s British sit-coms originate, ya cheeky thing...As for banjo music, that really belongs to The Dukes of Hazzard.

I also oppose to the use of the lyric 'where angels fear to tread', that should have stayed on Discoteca. 6/10

Out of all the reviews there hasn't been many mention up untill now of Discoteca's ...'Where angels fear to tread' Suprisingly, well picked up Big Nose.
