I was thinking exactly the same thing - fingers crossed tho eh!DJCulture wrote:I was lucky enough to win tickets in the 2002 Radio 2 gig competition. I don't think lightning will strike twice, but ya never know.
Potemkin aside, I'm sure this will be the first time PSB have performed with a live orchestra?

Why is that? We all heard the live version of Positive role model before it was released as a "properly recorded song" - did anyone here complain at the time?glennjridge wrote:if they do I wouldnt want to listen, I would hate to hear live versions of new songs before I hear the studio versions.

It's not the first time N&C have performed with a live orchestra. They performed Left to my own devices and It's Alright at the Trevor Horn concert at Wembley Arena last year with a live on stage orchestra. In fact I'm sure that that gig could have been one of the main reasons they decided to do a whole album with Trevor - and also this one off gig.
The sound is going to be so important at this concert - it's going to be incredibly difficult to balance a live orchestra with the electronics in a realtively small venue. Bad sound could kill this gig stone dead.

We’re different from the others.
No one understands us here.
Imagine how free we will be,
If we disappear?
