don't attack me for my opinion, but this video is the worst video I've seen, not just worst from PSB but worst of all videos I've ever seen
i cannot believe Neil & Chris have this kinda video in 2006 with all these technologies and opportunities
they could've presented themselves in new light with this video
they could've wear lots of make-up and look beautiful in video
but no, they had to spoil it with those two morons
OMG, i wanted to throw up when I saw those teeth lip-syncing to Neil's beautiful voice
it spoiled everything
this is such a waste of time to make video like this
people who don't know PSB will see the video and won't understand the joke - they'll just think - OMG look at these morons and they'll think Neil's voice is actually by that teeth-monster!
how sad would that be?

obviously you've never seen the video to "Home & Dry"...

it appears that you may not get the humour, ALOT of people watch 'Little Britain" - its one of the highest rating comedy shows here in Australia...

there's a reason why Matt and David look the way they do - you gotta watch the show to understand. Its called 'humour' dear...

Also, if you know anything about PSB, you'd know this is the PSB sense of humour as well. Haven't you seen "It Couldn't Happen Here" ??? Its very reminisent of that.

You are right to point out that danii didn't "get it", but nevertheless, neither will anyone outside of the UK, Ireland, and Australia (and possibly Canada). If you remove any knowledge of Little Britain, the video makes no sense at all. I cannot imagine it getting ANY playtime in continental Europe, but I'm sure they thought of that ahead of time. I don't mean this as a critisism of the video per se (although, it does make it seem like PSB only had two songs worthy of parody - not they they weren't parodies to begin with!)

No, that did not happen in my office. They do know nothing about Little Britain and this may be the first or second time when they see a PSB video except dreary mices that rotated for months in a local channel. But they liked it very much; at certain points where the Neil character points out to Chris to strike a key and Neil character opens his mouth down to the throat the way Neil sings, they were sprawled over their desks, laughing like a crazy. Besides, they asked me to bring Can you forgive her? and Go West videos to have a better understanding of the parodies so I am taking PopArt to the office tomorrow. One of them even asked me about its price, he is seriously considering to buy it.

Personally, I think the video is simply brilliant. I can't help but burst out laughing when that ostrich runs through the screen and when Chris looks sideways...

The idea of two idiot fans kidnaping his idols to obligue them to wath a self-made cheap performance, is simply brilliant. The Little Britain knowledge for sure add an extra point to the video, but it works even if you don´t know nothing about LB...maybe at a lower level, but it works...

I hated it upon my initial viewing, simply because I am picky about editing and they could have done it a little bit better, with a few more close-ups, especially at the end. I hated how they did not change the camera angle after the opening commentary where he says "We have become, Pet Shop Boys." It just did not make the synch with the song look good. Finally when they switch to the central wide angle, it works from there. After that, I watched it again, and was thoroughly entertained by it. Good vid. I love the moment at the end when he says "Talk to us" =)

Back again. After watching this video non-stop since my last post, this video has become more and more genius with every viewing. Without a doubt one of their most entertaining videos.

and different but I don't think it's sort

Today I would give an 8 after having
seen it again.

I think it'll be more successful in the UK
than in the rest of Europe because the
people in the UK use to know about LB.
I do not know this series as well, I only
'know' it from hearsay and its website...

We don't have this series over here for
instance and people won 't understand
the video as it was meant to be.
Plus, today's teenagers probably might
not even know about 'Very' anymore .
They might not get the 'joke'. It is just
a good laugh for 'fans'.
I am not sure if it'll 'work' the same ( if
you don't know 'Very' or 'Little Britain').
I don't know 'Little Britain' so can't be
that problem ... but without knowing
'Very' I am not sure.

This is a PSB video in which the PSBs are to be celebrated. Walliams is a fan - as proven by his embarrassing but fascinating car crash style infatuation during Liberation's Top of the Pops performance in 1994 - and is obviously living a fan's dream in creating a pastiche of classic PSB iconography. There's something touching about that. Add to the fact that he's an up and coming celebrity, his eager willingness to recreate the PSB world in his own comic style is heart-warming and hugely complementary to the influence of Tennant and Lowe.
