Pet Shop Boys are in The Guardian's ''The Guide'' book!

LIVERPOOL SUMMER POPS 06
Teaming up with the Northern Sinfonia on May 1 to perform their soundtrack to the film Battleship Potemkin at Wallsend's Swan Hunter Shipyard, Pet Shop Boys then appear on Merseyside (July 2), with acts including New Order and The Who, at this years music festival.

There's one of the new pics of them, standing up holding the Fundamental sign

There's no point in me scaning it because it's only that bit and you've seen the pic before. [/i]

Do NO and PSB play at the same day and how much is a one-day-ticket - if available?

I thought about travelling to Liverpool to see NO live in concert in July but that would be more interesting I think!

No - different days. It's not really a festival, more a month long series of concerts.

No they don't. Acts play on different nights in standard one-off shows. The PSB show on July 2 will take place in a big top-style seated arena. It's probably as far from a festival performance as it's possible to get - which suits my more refined tastes. Other acts play on other nights over the month of July.

Drico.

Edit: Dog said it all, really.

Hm, what a pity. :? That would have been great. Seeing NO and PSB live in Liverpool at the same day. Thanks for your information anyway.

If you want to see New Order and Pet Shop Boys at the same event, get yourself to Electric Picnic in Ireland.
