I'm with stupid is now A-listed on Swedish national radio station P3.

Great news! PSB have leapt from #40 to #12 in the current UK airplay top 50. That must be their highest position for a decade.

'I'm With Stupid' has been added to BBC local radio. So that's support from Radio 2 and now 37 local BBC stations!

"I'm with Stupid" has risen to 12 (from 40) in the UK radio charts this week, reflecting a fast increase in plays of the new single by UK radio stations.

It is supposed it is going to improve the next weeks until the launching of Fundamental, isn't it?

Miracles made top 40 and Flamboyant barely scraped top 50. I'm with stupid is PSB's biggest radio hit in years.

Do you remember the airplays of the Nightlife era?. I supposed it was higher because of the help of Radio 1.

I remember reading somewhere that New York City Boy went to Number 1 in the Airplay charts 2 weeks before it released... but I'm not 100% certain...

I don't think it did. Nowhere near. The last song that was number one in the airplays was I Wouldn't Normally.....

I don`t think that any of the singles from Nightlife cracked the Uk Top 30 airplay chart.

"I'm with Stupid" has risen to 12 (from 40) in the UK radio charts this week, reflecting a fast increase in plays of the new single by UK radio stations

I don't want to rain on their parade here but the reason 'I'm with stupid' is at #12 is becuase last week it was Radio 2s most played song, which is great, but it means their large audience share (+27mill), which has the most effect on the overall playlist chart placings, was down to being the most played song on the largest audience station. A MASSIVE 94% of 'I'm with stupid' audience comes from radio 2's support, so as soon as they play it less often, it will plummet down the playlist chart, much like Kubb's 'Remain' did (#17 to #49 when radio 2 moved it down their playlist).

'I'm with stupid' was, last week, played by 21 of the 120 stations monitored for the plalyist chart. After Radio 2's 20 plays, the other 141 UK radio airings came from 20 other staions.

When I worked in the music biz a few years back the playlist chart was based simply on the number of plays I seem to remember, it didn't take the audiences in to account.

Did this change or is my memory playing tricks on me?
