Fundamental Sequencing

#1 Post by dutchie »

So I've changed the sequencing on Fundamental to run as follows:

SAGS
Minimal
Psychological
Excuses
Numb
God Willing
Luna Park
Stupid
Casanova
20th
Indefinite
Integral

From the first listen I just didn't understand the way the Boys sequenced it. Psychological, with it's vague, threatening lyrics doesn't make any kind of real opening statement. It sounds alot better a few songs in. Excuses followed by Numb is a great one-two gut punch. And I like starting and ending the album with a great big bang.

Well, too many slow songs together: Pschological, Excuses, Numb, God Willing, Luna Park. I supppose it might sound a little bit boring. This album needed another up tempo song.

My sequencing would be:

Psychological
TSAGS
20 th
Excuses
Numb
Good Willing
I'm with stupid
Casanova in hell
Luna Park
Minimal
Indefinitive
Integral

I kind of like the slow songs grouped together. It's like the albums slow movement.
