Bilingual - Metamorphosis.

The whole idea of PSB - Noel Coward meets Kraftwerk - is preposterous but only occasionally has the facade collapsed in ignominy and opprobrium. This was the first PSB album track I ever truly disliked - Neil's rapping is particularly painful. I think they felt compelled to write these 'out' tracks but we'd always known and they'd said it so much more succinctly in It must be obvious or To speak is a sin.

go west , i really don't love this song, maybe i heard it too much when i was not a fan,, so for me it's not a very psb song, i really don't enjoy listening to it (but funnily every non psb fan does !)
Sé a vidé é is a little boring for me (but the video is superb) and so hard too, but i am not saying that they are bad
i am not interested in the sound and the melody of theses tracks.

PLEASE : Violence - Never been too keen on this track, though the Hacienda version is a favourite b-side of mine. So, I guess I just don't like the production of the album version. A definite skipper for me. 5/10

ACTUALLY : Hit Music - No surprise there, though I don't mind the track. Its got a nice middle section and its not one I'd skip. 6/10

INTROSPECTIVE : It's Alright - Over the years the album versions grown on me and despite it being the weakest track on the album I've got a new found apprecation for it. 7/10

BEHAVIOUR - Seriously - Good track thats been made redundant by the superior single version. Re-sequence the album with the single version and Miserablism in place of So Hard and you've got PSB's finest album. 7/10

VERY - One and One Make Five - Far too twee and probably the most dated track on the album. Long since been replaced with Too Many People. 4/10

BILINGUAL - Saturday Night Forever - ugghh... 0/10

NIGHTLIFE - Footsteps - By the time I get this track I just can't be bothered with the album so normally I stop the CD. Its not that bad a song; nicely produced, if a little bland. 6/10

RELEASE - E-Mail - Crap lyrics, boring tune. Skip. Now. 1/10

FUNDAMENTAL - Twenieth Century - Not a bad song, but not a great one either. 6/10

Wow, I am shocked at some of the songs ending up here, but to each their own. Never thought I would have seen So Hard, Rent, or End of the World end up on people's lists. Others that dumbfounded me were Up Against it, Nervously, One & One Make Five, To Speak is a Sin, and It Always Comes as a Surprise, which, swanky as it may be, I've always found to be a touching love song with little or no mawkishness and very heartfelt vocals (especially love the chord progressions during the bridge, and they managed to make a sax solo that wasn't screechingly annoying). Guess if I had to choose:

Actually-Hit Music, although One More Chance seems like it belongs on Please now.
Introspective-Always in my House...why? Dated house beats ruin a fantastic song. Should have either left the single alone or gone ahead and pressed it on Actually somewhere.
Behaviour-none, but How can you expect to be taken seriously? doesn't really fit, as others have said. That being said, it does break the slow pace nicely.
Very-none really...too hard to pick. I like 1+1 make 5, especially when I found out that they wanted to give it to Kylie. Also like TSIAS and One in a Million. Guess I would fault I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing and Yesterday, when I was mad for not being the single versions, but I wouldn't remove them. In fact, lets add Shameless and Too Many People while we're at it!!!
Bilingual-Metamorphosis--great dance track, but a bit tacky, no? Love IACAASurprise and kinda like Electricity too, hence my name (sorry to the E haters). Saturday Night Forever is a bit lazy and Before is a bit clunky (although the lyric is OK). Eclectic CD.
Nightlife-Don't really know what Boy Strange is doing there. Not horrible, but really out of place on the disc. Runners up would be the Only One and In Denial (I like what they were trying to say with this song, but I think it should have stayed with the musical).
Release-Email is too "been there, done that", and You Choose seems too underwritten. That being said, Here would have been much better with a fuller arrangement, and not necessarily the synthy treatment of Disco 3, although that was a little better, yet wouldn't really fit the mood of Release.

Pet Shop Boys have never made a bad song and that's why we share our love for this band in this community... well seems only a few do now

when i read that people think My october symphony, Nervously, Only the wind, Love comes quickly or actually any song mentioned is "bad" according to them i kind of wish they'd be sentenced to a lifetime hearing of Sheryl Crow's entire discography.

oh and Release was crap right? so is Footsteps?
