the re-released double CD's that came out a few years ago...

#1 Post by spongeg »

i bought a couple years and years ago cause i had never had them on CD before - only cassette so it was a binus to get the 2nd CD and the booklet etc.

anyway

i was at hmv here in Canada and they had 3 of them - Bilingual, Actually and Behaviour

and bilingual and actually were $22.99 and Behavious was only $15.99 - and I have looked online and behaviour seems to be the cheapest of them too

why is that?

In the darkness of your dreams
You must only think of me
There can be no in between
When your pride is on the floor
I'll make you beg for more

HMV Canada is lame. Their price points are bizarre.
There probably is no reason.

For some reason, I kept trying to buy "Bilingual/Further Listening" used but couldn't find it. I found it new but it was really expensive in comparison to the others, which could be found used. I bought it and got a discount. It was well worth it.

and i looked at amazon.ca and they had behaviour for $21.99 and the other ones were $24.99

Bilingual-Further Listening was not available in the US because it was the only of the set released on a Warner label originally, while all the others were EMI items, and EMI handled the reissues in America. If you bought a copy in the US, it is an import, and much more difficult to come by than the others were/are.

I honestly have no idea if the verisons are bought were originally American or not. I think I bought one from Ebay and the seller was from Britian. I do know that yes, the reason for the higher price was because "Blingual" was available new but as an import and I could only find it at a store's website (MediaPlay, which is not out of business).
