Forum graphic competition

#1 Post by StevePSB »

Hi all.

We think it's about time we had a new forum 'look', given that we're in the middle of another new PSB phase with new PSB press shots to play with.

So - we think we should again invite people to make submissions for a new forum graphic (the Community pic above). Your picture could grace the top of every page here!

The graphic should include the words 'Pet Shop Boys', 'Community' and 'I like to think of it as home' and be of the same size as the one above - 550 pixels wide by 100 pixels high.

It was so long ago now, I can't properly remember how we run the competition last time ( ), but I think a period of a week from now (19th May) for the design, then we'll open a poll to get everyone's input to find the winner.

The current 'look' is a bit dark, so short of making everything on the forum very dark you may have to use some artistic licence with your design to avoid this happening. Anything is submissable though. :)

Please post your submissions to this thread as and when you have finished them.

Let the competition commence, and best of luck! :)

The admin team.

First try. I'll try again during the weekend. Not so sure about the font, I need a better one.

I like that, too but I'd love to see the words
'Community' and the subtext in that 'Funda-
mental' neon letters style, too ...

Once that Neon Font gets out on the net, it'd be nice..

Another good one. :)

I'd have a go myself, but I can't get on with PC graphics packages. Only ever made anything semi-decent in TVPaint on the Amiga, and I have no monitor that it can run on. :(

Dave is the winner IMO so far...

THAT one
canveyboy wrote:
is out of place. You did well. I like it.

It is very close to a pictue which I've
made right out of fun.
What about putting the other words
in that neon style, too...?

I think the last one is brilliant! Maybe I would move the image more to the left and have "i like to " all in one row, but its just a matter of personal taste.

The other ones are good too, but i like black.
Chris: It´s very hot, I have a little fan under my keyboard keeping me cool!
Reporter: Have you really?! That´s funny!
Chris: Ehm, well it´s a fan, not a PERSON...
