I definitely know CD-R's are not acetate for starters so it would be appreciated to have acetate removed from any CD-R listed.

Also, if you got any 6trk promos then let me know wont'cha?

they always have been included (since To step aside) and I tried to follow the rules Lazlo once did for his first discography page. I know some people want to be included all items - even the bootlegged ones...

Was assuming this number should be on the back of the cardsleeve in the text after 'LC0299' like it was on the 1-track.
Now I think there will be two different 1-track promos around. One with CDRDJ 6690/00946... numbers (UK only) and one with the 00946 number only (EU).
But maybe I'm wrong...

I understand the traditional, but IMO they're not valid releases.

If it's legitimate then it deserves a place in the discography. When you mention about the "validity" of releases, you could always argue that promo 12" & acetates which existed before CD's don't deserve to be mentioned.

How do we define legitimate? There's a story about Chris Lowe driving around listening to a tape he made of Bet she's not your girlfriend before it was released. Do we put that cassette in the discography?

IMO the only legitimate releases are those actually intended for release (hence discs specifically sent to radio/DJs but not CDRs that just happen to slip out). Obviously other people will have a different perspective but I can't see the justification for calling a CDR (with suitably hyperbolic eBay tag of "only two known to exist!") a legitimate release. I feel sorry for the people who pay money for that stuff.

Legitimate could include vinyl acetates and promos with press releases/DJ reaction forms. I only bid or purchase items which I feel are legitimate. If something unique surfaces, then obviously a photo would help. Unless there is a press release to state how many of such-and-such is pressed, we could assume that millions are pressed. I follow my own instincts, not someone else's bullshyt and there are too many bullshitters on eBay and doing mail-order.

Ain't that the truth. Most of this stuff isn't really worth anything. Promos are such a scam, and PSB support the ripoff artists when they don't release the tracks commercially on CD.

Yes definitely! If I get an report of this, I wouldn't put it into the 'Released' section, but into 'Underground'

I just can not believe the prices these are going for at the moment on ebay. There is no way they are as rare as the sellers try to make out but I suppose one reason for it is that the remixes are not comercially available but still it is ridiculous. I give it a few months and they will be much cheaper.
The same with the vinyl promo's, they are going for loads as well. Same reason probably.
People are mad!

Just wait. Promos almost always fall in price. You'll be able to find this at a fraction of the cost once the album passes out of its "hot" phase.

People who own those some of those promos claim about extreme limited editions only to make their prices rise. And people buy that bullsh*t. Ok, it's their money...

The prices have fallen dramatically over the past 2 weeks.

I had 2 copies of the I'm with stupid 1 track CD promo, which I sold for £21 and £31 about 4 weeks back.

Ive just purchased another for £3.20.

Im also finding that now is a good time to buy some older stuff as people do want the newer items. I recently won..

I could not agree more, I just got my self a lot of psb press cuttings etc. including the first 7 copies of literally for £6.50!! Pretty big lot too and not bad for the price. I thought it would get to well over £20 but like you said people are more interested in getting hold of the new promo's!

Probably not a good time to sell older psb stuff.
