Fundamentalism US--limited quantities...

#1 Post by discotex »

I just got an email from my friends at WEA dist. in the US that say Fundamentalism (bonus CD version) will be limited to 15,000! Hope that is enough!!! Maybe we need to show Rhino that they should have higher hopes for this excellent CD, even if it is a month later...!

Maybe the numbers are this low *because* they're releasing it a month later...

That's it, it's all over. We're out of here. What a Legacy! (c) Chris Lowe 2009

Even if we were to purchase 100 each then there may still be plenty on the shelves...

I still don't know if I'm going to wait or not. Cduniverse has two verisons of Fundmentalism for less than $19 but they are from Hong Kong and Argentina....will they include all the artwork, etc? If I wait, that will help the US sales, though but where will they sell it?

Don't know it 100%, but assume you won't get any new/bonus track on that release! My hope is a possible single release in US - perhaps they will release some mixes on there, which wasn'r released in US in the last years...

I doubt there will be a single - the US singles market is all but dead. In fact there isnt even a proper music store for miles around me. You need to go to an electronics or Dept store to buy CDs and they'll only stock the popular stuff. I long ago gave up and usually buy CDs online now.

Availability: This title will be released on June 27, 2006.

Will wait and try to get it then.
Stay the course or change it up?

For the record... there were only something like 20,000 copies released of the US double-CD edition of Nightlife. I'm not sure about the release numbers of the US Release double-CD set, however.

The regular singles market was dying and it now offically dead with the online single market, which could help PSB a lot. That being said, the maxi single market is alive and kicking and I know even Sancutary released a maxi single of Kelly Osbourne's "One Word" (I might be alone, but I really loved that song and the album was OK). Madonna is the queen of the maxi single and they certaintly help her out a lot. They even sell them at some stores that don't carry singles at all anymore, like Meijer, which is a convience store that sells groceries and a little bit of everything else.
