The Sun interview and review...

#1 Post by DavePSB »

Chris: "I don't really like MP3's. It's like having a 1 megapixel digital camera."

I remmber seeing that TOTP with 'Liberation' and had no idea that the funny tall guy in the audience was David Walliams!

I am finding all this love from The Sun rather bewildering. Janet hasn't staged a coup d'etat there, has she?

Oddly enough, The Sun on a Friday is quite a good read in terms of music reviews. The guy(?) who edits it seems to really know his music. Hot Chip's brilliant new album get's 4/5 in the same edition as the PSB coverage whilst recently they have raved about Depeche Mode and really pushed the PTA singles.

We’re working with Es Devlin, the theatre designer who did the Kanye West Tour. She’s come up with a fantastic staging idea and we’ll have other singers and dancers on stage.

Hum, interesting.

For Neil:
. Fundamental = Epic
. The new tour = Spectacular

Which, without doubt, means the venues wont be small like the Release tour but bigger places to accomodate for the stage set ups.

I guess it's okay to talk to the Sun these days, then...

I actually thought the question about what they learnt doing BP was quite an interesting one.

I love the answer by Chris to this..
You have a theory that bands have an “imperial phase” when you effortlessly do everything right. Do you still believe it exists?

Neil: Yes, our imperial phase was from It’s A Sin through to Heart.

Chris: It means you can do what you like, usually followed by disappearing up your backside!
They make a little go along way.. very Minimal but Fundamental.
