Horn steals from his back catalogue on Excuses

#1 Post by wirral39 »

The car door opening and closing in the opening section of Excuses is not a new Horn device - he used it on the electro-swing track Vermillion Sands on the second Buggles album Adventures In Modern Recording. That album is a great taste of ABC, Frankie and PSB before Horn worked with any of them.

Have you also noticed that the 'bread and circuses' of Luna Park also cropped up in the Horn-produced Sound of the Atom Splitting?

I bet you'll find door closing sound effects on lots of other non-Horn tracks an' all.

That's a non-PSB/Horn thing, so I'm pretty sure you'll find that phrase on other songs.
