The label for that one is so obviously done with the standard text you get when you first start up Nero Cover Designer. lol

What also pisses me off is people lying and claiming for example that the I'm with stupid remix promo cd is limited to 100 when they know very well it is not. Also there are people that still try to charge buyers their paypal fees too, which is against ebay rules and quite right too. I wonder how they would react if they were the buyer? What some people will do for a few quid.... Unbelievable!
It is also strange that a lot of these fake auctions are still on ebay and are not pulled quicker, but I suppose the way round that it to sell as buy it now which normally works.

The seller has lost track how many he has made.

At first he advertises its Volume 19 (Even in the photo its Volume 19) and then in the text he says TWICE that he bought 2 lots of 13 volumes.

Quite astonishing and amazing that he was approached by a guy selling Pet Shop Boys CDs and he is a fan of them too.

Reminds me of some story about two guys meeting in some Electrical store in London

I know who you are on about and Ive already sent that seller an e-mail about it!

The thing about the 100 copies issue is that I think that EMI outsource these promos to various Promotional companies and I reckon they give them 100 each to say 5 different promo people.

These promotional companies then print out their Press release and they state only 100 copies available because thats how many they got and little do they know that another 4 companies have them too.

There have been far too many of the 6 track CD Promo listed on Ebay for there just to be 100 in existence. Take a look at the Sexy Northerner 12" Promo ( I still think there are less than 50 pressed of these) - You very rarely see this for sale.

The Miracles promos are another one. Although I still think there wasnt that many pressed, I know of a company who have quantities of these in stock.

And for just three quid as well!

Weren't the Nightlife remix promo CDs limited to 500 copies? You can still find those cheaply easily enough. There's no reason to suspect the I'm With Stupid ones are any different.

Yeah, you could be right about the Miracles promos although I would say that there are certainly more than what people may think. You are right that part of the reason people try to claim they are so limited is that when emi send out the initial batch of promo's they always write on the press release something like "Only 80 WLP mailed so far" meaning that there will be more sent out at a later date, but people tend to ignore the second part of this sentance and claim they are limited to the 80 copies when the quite obviously are not.
I have seen this quite a bit and why they write this who knows? Perhaps to try and make the dj feel privileged to have them and therefore more likely to play them, who knows?
It is annoying for people to blatantly lie like they do on ebay and it is the buyers that always suffer.

Apparently, someone grassed this seller up for "spamming" so eBay had to close his auctions but it didn't stop him from re-listing and selling the second time round did it?
