Pet Shop Boys: A Life In Pop Documentary - Discussion

#1 Post by Leeds City Boy »

Thought I'd start this as there is sure to be a lot of conversation about the show!
It is on tonight on Channel 4 here in the UK at 23:05.

It's past my bedtime so I've stuck it on tape - how can something potentially so brilliant follow the dirge that is Big Brother and Desperate Housewives?! :?

I'm really looking forward to hearing what the likes of Brandon Flowers (The Killers) has to say about them.

Eeek. Really looking forward to this, but then I have to get up at 4am for work... do I watch it or do I risk taping it on the rickety video recorder...?!

How about playing I Want To Wake Up   .............I'll get me coat

Isn't Tim Rice-Oxley (Keane) and Jake Shears (Scissor Sisters) interviewed too....I know Bobby O is a no show / typo.

I haven't looked forward to a TV programme in ages... :)

Yes, it will make a change for NME favourites to praise some 80s queeny synthpop group rather than the approved canon.

Good on you girl! And can I just mention what a big fat dissapointment 24 hour opening has turned out to be for the likes of Trixie and myself. Not only do the pubs only stay open an extra hour at night (if you're lucky), but they don't open until an hour later in the morning!!!

What a swizz...

impossible I think! All the known webspace sites don't allow such a large file!

You've got to hand it to Chris, playing Its a Sin on the Blackpool Tower ballroom organ is no mean feat. My uncle used to work at the tower and I remember him saying how hard the organ was to play!!

Just goes to prove those who think Chris just stands in the background are so wrong!!

I was all set to record this, but decided against as I very rarely use videos these days and I know I'd probably never watch it again!

Watching now on my PC TV card. :)

LOL @ Chris playing 'It's a sin' on a seaside organ! He did that very well!

Upload it as a BitTorrent file to something like MiniNova and give us the torrent link. :)
