MINIMAL IS THE BEST SINCE Always on my mind - GORGEOUS !

#1 Post by dibdav »

For me 'Minimal' IS the best single the Pet Shop Boys will release since Always On My Mind. An over-reaction ? I don't think so, it is such a beautiful, YES BEAUTIFUL SUMMER SONG.

Put simply, it SOUNDS GORGEOUS. I haven't felt this rather GORGEOUS SUMMER FEELING since New Order released the equally GORGEOUS 'Regret.'

Imagine driving, roof down, 'Minimal' in your hair, well ears.

IT'S A WONDERFULLY GORGEOUS TRACK.

...Soddom & Gomorah, too camp, tries too hard, Minimal is like a breaze !

You're right: Minimal is just a GORGEOUS song!!!

My favourite part starts at 2min.16sec. when Neil sings "an empty box, an open space, a single thought leaves a trace"... Wonderull!!!
Don't give me all your northern pain
Don't sell me New York in the rain
Let's leave our promises behind
Rewind and try again

Mine too.....although I noticed that when radio 1 played it, thats the part that they edited (only 1 iteration instead of 2)...I hope that the actual single edit includes both of them

Oh at least I am not alone thinking that SODDOM is a wasted chance...But Minimal....How can pop, disposable pop as we call it, be that haunting, that spine chilling, that BEAUTIFUL?
The CELL by Stephen King instantly hit number 1 in New York Times Bookseller Lists selling well over 200 thousand copies in three weeks. This affirms my opinion: People really need an occassional good horror read...

Hope so as well!! Can't stop listening to that specific part!! By the way, what does Neil mean with "an empty box, an open space"?

I think it's the best song from this 'Fundamental age', with the possibility of Fugitive being at second place, but we have to wait some months or a year to see if it's classic or not.

you exchange word - Minimal on words The Sodom And Gomorrah Show and...you have right!! :D :D
I've been around the world for a number of reasons. I've seen it all the change of seasons, and I, my lord, may I say nothing?

I'm listening to Minimal a lot but I don't think it's that good musically.

Minimal is a TUNE.
Every radio station everywhere should play it.
Even metal ones, classical and ones that dont play music.
