¿The singles of Fundamental?

#1 Post by Nickname »

As everybody knows PSB have been album of the week on Radio 2.

Bruce Ken have played some songs of the album. I suppose these songs have been chosen by EMI. I don't believe they have chosen these songs without the opinion of the record label (it's part of its business, the promotion).

I suppose the songs played on the show have been the ones with more posibilities of being singles (not all of them are going to be singles but threre is a little possibility to suppose this is the order EMI has in mind, at least nowadays).

The songs played were:

I'm With Stupid (Friday) - First single
Minimal (Thursday) - Second single
Numb (Wednesday) - Third single
Integral (Tuesday) - Fourth single?
The Sodom and Gomorrah Show (Monday) - Fifth single?

I think there should only be 3:

I'm With Stupid
Minimal
&
Numb

3 is enough.

TSAGS or Integral should be the third single, I think. :D

A couple of years ago 3 would have been enough but the charts have changed in recent years and i think you might see 4 from this album.

I'm with stupid
Minimal
Numb
TSAGS
how can i feel bad,
about what i never had.
All i have is an image
on a photograph

What is so special about TSAGS? Angry Integral delivers much better, if we compare the two epic/drumy songs.

Apart from that, why not have IMMEAL as a third single? (It is more interesting than Numb - though of course I can imagine it breaks rules for guaranteed hits, unlike Numb.)

Correction, it is Ken Bruce, and the last time I heard him, he was not the King of Scotland...

A radio edit of the S&G Show would be great. Cutting the intro to a minimum.
Neil Tennant has a great voice, Chris Lowe has great silence.

At the moment I prefer it to Minimal which is supposed to be the next single. I hope Integral is released as a single. Please let S&G and Integral be released to give them a couple more top 10 hits. :P

I think I've already decided that's the worst track on the album (IMO).

I'm with stupid
M-i-n-i-m-a-l
The sodom and gomorrah show
Casanova in hell/Luna park
......maybe Integral but Sodom must be a single.

Numb - just not it!!!!!!!!!
I've been around the world for a number of reasons. I've seen it all the change of seasons, and I, my lord, may I say nothing?

Psycological is like a cross between "The things that dreams are made of" and Kraftwerk. Strangely enough I can imagine them doing the song on Top of the pops!

I don't think EMI have any influence over what Radio 2 plays.

I think it's pretty much a given that the boys will release NUMB after MINIMAL.
If we're lucky Integral is a possible 4th.
If Depeche Mode can manage 4 singles of their last album then i'm sure PSB can too. After all Mute is owned by EMI now!

I want an 8 minute epic Trevor Horn version of S&G ala Left To My Own Devices!

A tight edit for the single as well though, as this is my favourite track.

I hope Numb isn't released. It's ok, but my least favourite track.
