As usual we expect you to conveniently mislay facts in order to sell your desperately desired but fantasy propaganderist view point.
How are they getting 'great recognition' exactly when the general public hardly knows they are still releasing music (as seen by a hardcore fanbase only buying with huge drop off in 2nd week sales!!!)
Don't the likes of U2 or Madonna count as artists in your definition then as they still sell millions and dominate music? Lots of acts from an earlier period to PSB eg Elton John, still shift infinitely more new albums per worldwide release than PSB even thought they(Elton etc) aren't exactly what you'd call dominating music...
I'm looking forward to your next post as i'm sure it will be as biggoted and relative fact informed free as usual

reality_check you're and idiot.
Pet Shop Boys today express the 'uneasy' side of life, the part that the 'average' person woul'd just sooner not know about. So I would never expect millions of the general public to be listening to this during their 'quality coffee time - big brother or some other shite on in the background.
Recognition - does NOT neccessarily mean sales. It's admiration, a collective nod, from the media, other musicians and YES the FANS.
You don't get it reality_check because, I'm sorry to say, plain as it may sound, you're an idiot.

Reality check is a moron from the Erasure forums who is failing desperatly to wind people up here because Union Street flopped and he's got the hump. If he doesn't shut up, i'll shag his mother.
Just for the record, when i say great recognition, it's not just about sales. Even though the sales they get for a synth band are excellent. They dwarf Erasure. They are always A listed on the radio. Appear on numerous t.v shows. Get invited to play concers on Radio 2. They had a recent documentary aired on BBC. Hardly any artists get all that recognition, even the latest bands. Then on the other side of the coin you see some fat singers on stage in sleazy clubs, while just wearing pants, announcing that they delibratly caught H.I.V because it was a touchstone of being gay.
I think someone must have stolen Reality Checks sweets.
