If this is true and they get some regular play BRILLIANT!
I emailed them asking why they played Aha and Prince and no PSB, and why a group who played Tower of London (an event I heard about on Capital) weren't being played.

I've always thought its much more important to get play on the Gcap and other commercial stations (for exposure) than to get played on radio 1.
:D

That's still dated 28th June, though. Presumably the new playlist will be up later today. Being officially playlisted on Capital would be very good news indeed.

At the bottom half of the page you can see 'questions and comments' - select 'I would like to comment on a song that you played on Capital' and tell them how much you enjoyed listening to Minimal.

But DONT come across as a hardcore PSB fan, and say things like 'about time you playlisted them' etc, because they will just ignore you if you do.

Pretend to be a casual listener. Comment about how you really like the new PSB song they played called Minimal. Perhaps mention that its good to see them back with a great song, and that you thought they weren't going any more. Whatever. Be creative. SOUND NORMAL.

Yes, something similar to.... "I have listened "Minimal" in Capital FM and it's great to hear to the Pet Shop Boys again, could you include it in the playlist?, I haven't heard something new from PSB for ages"

I understand what you mean and I'm agree.

This is what I said to them:

You've been playing a great song that sounded really 80s. The chorus went 'M-I-N-I-M-A-L'. Don't know who it was by but give it another few spins.

Just about to play 'It's a sin', today's "bonafide classic" on Richard Bacon's show.
Haven't heard Minimal today though. :(

I sent the following:

I love the new Pet Shop Boys single "Minimal". I haven't been a fan of theirs for a good few years but it's great to hear they are still making fantastic songs. I'd like to have it on the playlist as it is a great summer song and makes me dance while doing the decorating!!

Dear Capital FM

I heard a song called Minimal this afternoon by The Pet Shop Boys. I last heard from them in 1996 when you played their Spanish song and thought they'd split up. Are they still together?

I love your radical playlist and your wacky DJs. Richard Bacon is a c*nt though.

Regards

Leon Trotsky

spookily this evening the local radio was playing Go West in a guess the year type thingy and just after it finished I went to pay for my petrol to be greeted by It's a sin blaring out from another station. The revival starts now
Still waiting to hear the Adam Freeland, Manhattan Clique and Axwell mixes of Integral.
