Valencia Eclectic Festival

#1 Post by Enrique »

So. Attended the show on Sunday. :) Very nice show, great venue and accoustic in the first rows because of a huge gap (6 meters?) I standed on 2nd row, centered. Local newspaper stated about 5,000 souls there and it was free!. Damn it! Next Saturday Potemkin in Spain also for free... It's so easy being a spanish pethead these days!

We were walking looking for some place to dinner :P and met the boys in the street by chance! We both got our bussiness card signed by them and a minute of talking. Where is a Relentless vinyl to get signed when you need it!?

For the record: luckily the tracklist wasn't 'the short one'. Numb & HAD but no Before. Great HAD rendition but liked more the former Streets version they played on Release tour. Some pictures are found here.

Psycho score from Hitchcock's movie <-- edited, thanks adiba :D
God Willing
Psychological
Left to my own devices
I'm with Stupid
Suburbia
Minimal
Shopping

Rent
Always on my mind
Streets
Home and Dry <-- edited, thanks Tanja :D
Dreaming of the Queen
West End girls
The Sodom and Gomorrah Show
Opportunities
Integral
So Hard
It's a sin
Go West

Great show! I enjoied it a lot!

The tune at the beginning was Bernard Herrmann's score for the movie Psycho (I guess because Psychological was -almost- next)

I was also in the lake's platform, just behind the first metal fence.

Qué envidia :!: me hubiese gustado verlos en la calle

Enrique, in what part of town did you meet Pet Shop Boys? Wow! I envy you. We were hanging out a few hotels till 4a.m. in the morning after the show, without luck. Thanks for the pictures. I can see my pointy hat on one of them! :)

I'm going to Barcelona too. Are you?

I will go to the Barcelona concert, I hope that the airplane from Amsterdam (where I go on holiday from Sept 2nd to 5th) comes back on time.

I head news that it would be a free event in the Forum, but don't know if it's true.

The last row of 7 songs in the setlist is rather apotheosic, isn't it?

To Tanja: arround the CAC, a street (not the next) back of the venue.

all concert was apotheosic, fantastic begins with psychological, left to my own, I'm with stupid, Suburibia etc and fantastic end with sodom and integral for example. People enjoyed the concert and feel the integral vibes :D

For me the highlight from the concert was Sodom and gomorrah. The song, Neil's clothes, the dancers, the guy projected on that great stage, the public response. All was perfect! Huge!

the concert was great! anybody got some videos from the show? Enrique, I just wish I was looking for a place to eat with you :) At what time was it you met Neil And Chris? They must have been going to the Oceanographic museum, right? Did you chat with them? My waiting at the hotel till 4a.m. in the morning was fruitless! But we met the dancers and the singers from the tour. Took pics and got autographs! Cool!

Did anyone see me in my pointy hat and a beautiful Chrissy-shirt? First row! Exciting! :D

About Barcelona: when and where will the tickets go on sale?

Enrique,

there is a mistake in your set list of Valencia concert. Can you find it yourself or would you like me to point it out? :)
