Numb video ideas
Numb seems likely to be the next single so how about giving the boys some ideas for the video?
I imagine Neil on a hospital trolley. He is being wheeled along corridors and there is a build-up of tension as he makes his way to the operating theatre. Chris plays the anaesthetist.
When Neil goes under we see his nightmares. It's Steps' Chain Reaction as directed by Chris Cunningham.

Yeah, plus Trevor Horn as a nurse and Boy George as a hospital cleaner.Janet Street-Porter wrote:Numb seems likely to be the next single so how about giving the boys some ideas for the video?

Video
It's impossible makes some speculations about every new PSB videos. Everytime they make us a big surprise. Who could immagine the video of I'm With Stupid with elements of PSB old videos? Or the fantastic video of Flamboyant with extracts of Jap. television? Instead to wrote about this, I prefer to wait and see what the PSB hava prepared for us.

I think they should do it from the perspective of a PSB fan after they've heard "Release" for the first time. So the video could start with a upbeat fan (maybe Rick Moranis could play the role) going to HMV and buying the album and then the pain and agony they feel after hearing Email for the 1st time.

I think Neil should be lying on a satin sheeted water bed in a hi-rent LA mansion, in his dressing gown. His lover (played by male supermodel Tyson Beckford) is seen leaving in his biking leathers, he climbs on his Yamaho TX780 (or wotever) and races off at hi speed. He is a doctor going to the scene of a terrorist attack.
All this takes place during the orchestral drama at the beginning of Numb.
Then, a restlessly sleeping Neil is awoken by the phone, cut to Tyson colliding with a petrol tanker, flying off his bike and being impaled on an electricity pylon. Neil sits bolt upright and answers the phone. Its the police. Tyson's been killed
Neil puts down the phone, pulls the sheets round his neck to appear cold and vulnerable.
The rest of the video is Neil remebering the good times he and Tyson shared together. So we get them nuzzling each others necks whilst sharing a tub of Ben n' Jerry's, our lovers shopping together for coordinating Ralph Lauren polo tops, walking hand in hand down Malibu beach (some wave action here during an orchestral moment) and, of course, THE shower scene, where Neils fleshy North Eastern body is entwined with Tyson's rippling black limbs.
The video ends with Neil alone in the shower, dropping to his knees as the water runs off his sad, teary face and his final "Wanna be Numb".

For some reason, i envision something along the lines of INXS "Never Tear us Apart" for this video...

And then two planes hit his mansion, with extra orchestra hits dubbed for the videokimphilby wrote:I think Neil should be lying on a satin sheeted water bed in a hi-rent LA mansion, in his dressing gown. Numb ONCE mORE
Ok haw abou this - shot in black in white - someone sat in a railway station or airport reading a paper - could be chris - who gets up leaves the paper on a bench - the pages flap open - que close up on page - black and white photo`s of past historical key events - as the orchestra comes in with it`s crescendos - the pictures flash into colour for just a moment then - pans down the page to a black and white picture of neil singing the verse of numb.
I`ve not thought about the rest of it - i think it`s quite easy for us to come with ideas for this video because we kinda know how the psb`s interpret songs, but i think we`re all gonna be a bit surprised with this - as usual what we expect - we rarely get - heh good title for song. Love to hear from people about my idea - elaborate if you like.

To release a single without a video is a bit daft aint it?!? Could you imagine the tracklisting for the DVD!delusions wrote:there won´t be videoclip
I already posted the one somebody posted on the PJ forums but I'll post it again because I can't think of one myself
"I think the Numb video should be Neil and Chris walking through a graveyard.
A war graveyeard. With flashbacks. Each explosion of the orchestra is when a bomb explodes.
And then we pull back and see it's a modern day war, with kids, soldiers and civilians all caught in the crossfire. A completely useless, futile, deadly war with no point to it.
"Don't wanna hear the news, what's going on, what's coming through..."
Rather apt for today's climate I think."
