PSB tours + PSB tours on DVD

#1 Post by autechre »

hello
I am in the process of bying the PSB tour DVD's. I have PERFORMANCE (looove it, to me that is a show), SOMWHERE (was really good also, loved ITS A SIN, THEATRE, RENT and a lot more) and getting MONTAGE (never seen it) in the mail soon. Can someone tell me if there are any other tours/shows that are available? I am not expert PSB fan but I am starting to collect a lot... :)

Also can someone list all the tours that the PSB have done even if they arent on DVD with their respective names and year? Also is the current tour called Fundemental?

I know i have a lot of questions but i love their shows :)

First off, the Montage DVD is ok, but it is a bit of a disappointment. I won't give it away, but you will have to see for yourself.

As far as any other concert DVDs available, there is a laser disc and video of their first tour, the MCMLXXXIX tour, 1989. It is not available on DVD just yet. The Discovery tour, 1994 is available on laser disc and video, not on DVD.

I believe that is all that is available at this time. The tours they have done thus far are:

MCMLXXXIX tour, 1989
Performance Tour, 1991
Discovery Tour, 1994
Nightlife tour, 1999
Release tour 2002

I guess you can call this one the "Fundamental" tour, the real tour has not begun just yet. It begins in Canada on October 10th. They played festivals all over Europe all summer.

THey have played loads of festivals throughout Europe in between tours.

There is no DVD for the "Release" tour. They just never made one to my knowledge.

Release was streamed to the web so there technically is video of it. Just not very good quality. In Kohn was it?

The complete MCMLXXiX tour will soon be available on DVD in it's entirety not just the six (or so) tracks that was on the VHS video. Apparently with the backing videos from the Projections VHS may also appear as extras as well. No release dates as yet.

The Montage DVD is excellent, for the exception of those visual images that are shown on most of the DVD.
