Which forum is best?

I know that I intended the comment more like a satirical observation on "Zeus forum"'s debate atmosphere. I don't understand how by stating that Zeus would have followed your passionate defence by saying something like "Nervously is crap, obviously" (like he most likely would have) means that I would have somehow relished and wished for such a response.

I'm glad about your observation of the 'debate atmosphere' on Zeus Forum. I hope you also understand that I see no point at all in participating in such 'debates', nor that I want to contribute to a forum with such a 'debate atmosphere'... - And you didn't even mention the misplaced feeling of superiority yet.

There is at least some content inside my opinion... - At which level you wish to debate? Do you want content vs arguments? Or do you want content vs bash?

Like Joemoz said: you have a choice. You can join this forum, the Zeus forum, or both. Let's not be too dramatic about it. I guess it all depends on what style you prefer and what you can or cannot live with. I prefer to deal with people who count to 1000 or who discuss how much they love Chris (they do so in topics I don't participate in, nor read), rather than people who ridiculize your contribution in one-liners, and yet complain about the 'mindless drivel' on PSB Community...

There is a difference indeed, but it's not that great if you ask me. Like Zeus you state as a fact your opinion that the other 14-15 tracks are not good, ie. crap, without writing why. Zeus can take part in a debate, but most of the time he chooses to be a cartoon character – in those cases you can debate around him just like you can do with all the chris-freaks et al here.

But you're right. It's great that we have both forums and everyone can choose whether to write on both or none of them.

As for the Verbal thing, Eldritch: I don't care at all who's behind it, it could be anyone, but it's certainly NOT a forum newbie, but someone with a long PSB Forum history. All he did in his massive thirty-something posts is to ridiculize topics that were opened here. His first contribution to a topic about politics:

I never wrote you're not allowed to do something. You can post as many messages as you want, but just don't be surprised that people are going to look into your post history when you made just 30 posts, but act like someone who's been here for years.

In your previous post, you mentioned figures about the number of posts on the Zeus forum. These figures are invisible to people who aren't subscribed to that forum. You need to login first before you see them. So at least we can be 100% sure that you are a member of that forum.

The same goes for the starting date of that forum. You manage to tell us that it was launched 11 months ago. Pretty accurate for someone who wasn't around between 24 November 2004 and 11 March 2006.

The fact that you posted as much as 4 messages way before the Zeus forum opened, is completely irrelevant. What's more relevant is how you returned nearly 1,5 year later, to bash Nickname in your 5th and 6th contribution to this forum. The same Nickname who was discussed frequently on the Zeus forum... - Coincidence, I guess?

In your 12th contribution, you told PSB Community:

Just because I don't come slobbering in all giddy about finding this place, saying "Oh, I can't believe I found this place, I'm pissing my pants!!!" doesn't mean I'm not new to the place, and obviously I'm not. You see, on the internet, on forums, there are these people that read said forums but don't post all the time. They are called lurkers. They sometimes remember previous conversations....

Ummmm.....you seriously want me to respond to this? The world doesn't revolve around PSB, and if you took that argument elsewhere, to any other artists forum, to any music critics forum, yes, you would get laughed out of the park. Being a longtime member of any forum has nothing to do with being able to say that. Being a grounded person in reality that knows that there is more to the world than PSB does.

true I do go over to zeus forum on occasion under my girlfriends name,but its to scrounge for news on new PSB tracks,or earlier, for fundamental news as you never knew who's was going to get something first.

I dont know if you could call me a zeus forum lurker.I'm not interested in the goings on.just track news.I'm also on lydiots forum.

It's certainly not my plan to re-do previous discussions, but out of curiosity, I have a question.

This forum has 1154 users, who made almost 134.000 posts since October 2003. Nothing weird so far, but the Tennant-Lowe forum by Lydia apparently has as much as 2107 users, who made 45.000 posts since April 2005.

I found it quite unbelievable that this TL forum has so many members, so I compared some figures. On the TL forum, only 122 users made 50 posts or more, and just 277 users made 10 posts or more. In fact, 693 made posts, so the other 1414 users DIDN'T.

I find this pretty weird for a forum that's already around for more than 2 years: more than two-third of the members never posted one single message.

For comparison: the 122th most active user on THIS forum made 511 posts (on the TL forum this is 50), user #277 over here made 131 posts (10 on the TL forum). This forum has 984 members who made at least one post. That's about 85% (compared to the 33% active members on the TL forum).

Does anybody know why so many people join the TL forum without posting? Or are we dealing with many 'ghost' accounts?
