erasure-petshopboys forum

#1 Post by dannii »

I've just read on Wayne's site that there's a new forum for Erasure and Pet Shop Boys both.

http://www.erasure-petshopboys.com

When I first seen the 'lydia psb design' sign in the logo pic, I freaked out 'cause I was afraid that she's the administrator :D
but, she's not so it's clear
anyway, what do you think about PSB and Erasure sharing the same forum after long-lasting rivalry?

Tried so hard to put all together on one community in the first years (99-02) and when I see what's happen nowadays...

I don't like the way fans of PSB hate Erasure and vice versa on the basis of rivalry or something (how pathetically sad!)

Both are good but PSB are much better! I'm not sure that new forum will last long before the plug is pulled.

Why would anyone want a combined forum? :? If you like both artists, I'm sure you can find a seperate forum for both artists to join.

Eh?

I have thought about a combined PSB / New Order forum in the past, but it wouldn't work. Whilst there are some crossover fans, there are a lot who wouldn't welcome a forum with both groups together.

Same principle with PSB/Erasure IMHO. I could be proved wrong, but I have difficulty seeing it.

It's not like space is exactly limited on the web and can you imagine the *yawn* arguments about who is better. PSB's, New Order and Erasure are all different enough style wise for them not to be grouped or tied together. The only thing they have in common is heavy use of synth's at some point in their careers. Their musical styles, although similar at certain points in their careers are radically different now.
Personally I really liked Erasure up to and including Chorus. I now find them monotonous . I haven't bought a New Order single since Regret and a NO album since Technique. Tho' I have most of both discography's up to those releases.
