Sorry, I am a real PSB fan, but I don't plan to be their marketing tool. As a fan, I want value for money. I don't want a CD1, featuring a mutilated version of Numb and a live track I will buy one week later!

Numb isn't even being released in the Netherlands anymore. This is the result of several circumstances, one of them being the total lack of promotion and effort by PSB (last promotional visit: 1988).

PSB bet mainly on one or two horses, being the UK and Germany. I respect this, but don't expect me to applaud it. If PSB really want better sales, they should have put an exclusive song on CD1 of Numb.

But if they are not selling well in a country, then what's the purpose of release when you can go cross the border and buy it at a five hour distance (actually I don't know how far it is from Netherlands to Germany but I know it is a short trip). Capitalism never falters: if it had sold, it would have been released
The CELL by Stephen King instantly hit number 1 in New York Times Bookseller Lists selling well over 200 thousand copies in three weeks. This affirms my opinion: People really need an occassional good horror read...

Perhaps because they know the die-hard fans will purchase them no matter what

I happen to live only 1 hour away from the German border, and the MediaMarkt in Nordhorn happens to be just a few hundred meters after the border. Yes, I travel to Nordhorn to buy PSB-singles, but come to think of it: it's ridiculous.

I have to travel 1 hour to obtain a PSB cd-single, since I cannot buy it in record stores in the Netherlands. And with items like CD1 of Numb I seriously wonder why I do so. :(

I'm a die-hard fan and I won't be buying it. Not because of the formatting but because I think it's crap.

After working last night and finishing @ 7am this morning, I took the bus from my little hamlet to the big city; a journey time of 55 mins at a return cost of £5.40, just so I could buy all formats of the single. I had a nice fry up in the greasy cafe before the shop opened!!

If Woolworhs stocked the single, then I would have been knocking on their door in town @ 08:30 this morning.

For Minimal and I'm with stupid, I purchased via HMV on line and only because I didnt have the funds in my account until today did I not do the same for Numb.

I have travellled from London to Manchester just to buy some PSB goodies before!!

Bought CD1 & CD2.

CD2 will play on a 'normal' CD player, you just need a computer to play the video & if your on here you got one. The speakers issue...yeah I agree, but for me that's OK cos I got 'surround sound' speakers via midi to computer & TV. (No expence is ever spared for PSB).

But I don't have a turntable (anymore) so no 12" Vinyl.

I'm amazed that so-called die-hard fans are not even buying all formats. I have no problems playing cd2 and though I don't have a turntable I thought the 12" was worth buying for the sleeve alone.

*sigh*

Well said.
I think the only good thing to come out of Numb being released as a single is the formats.
As long as they keep producing vinyls ( 7" & 12" ) to keep my evergrowing vinyl collection being played that's fine by me.
My wife should be home from work anytime now after popping in HMV on the way home to pick up today's releases. I shall have a very good evening with my wife, & Numb!!!

That's a bit harsh!!!! - The B-sides are worth it though even if you don't like Numb !!!

I've said it loadsa times - I love Numb! - don't care if it charts at 80 or number 8 - song is beautiful - although not a Tennant/Lowe track.

What the hell?!? It does play on a normal CD player, we're not talking about a DVD here... I'd rather pay an extra quid to get 2 new songs than a live version of an old song that's going to be released on a live album.

I can't see the point in releasing commerical vinyls  The remix isn't that good anyway.

Not Stocking it, or out of stock of the few copies they probably had in?

Have you not considered downloading the tracks that you haven't bought. I've just bought the tracks that are on the 12 inch for 77 pence each.
