All the people over here who claim that the studio version of BYT sounds worse than the demo have a) a hearing problem and are b) hypocrite. Please remember that you were never meant to hear that demo version in the first place. If you hadn't known the demo, you would now be raving about the song.

I think BYT is one of the best PSB B-sides ever. The production is good and the song is fantastic.

I'm glad that you acknowledge that you would be raving about BYT if you hadn't heard the demo...

I prefer the "demo" hence why I have not d/l it yet (as opposed to buying it as no ruddy store has it near me.

Bright Young Things is SUPERB. It should have been a single. I swear it reminds me of how I felt when I first heard 'I get excited' in disbelief that a song that good could be on a b-side.
It pisses all over Integral in terms of subtlety and melody and should have been the 4th single, or at least a double a-side with integral. personally I think it should have been on the album in place of Casanova in hell, it would have just tipped the balance nicely in terms of mid-tempo/ballads/fast songs. .
Flying high on chemical wings is one of Neli's best lyrics for a time...

Chris Zippel! He telled me, that he produced two different versions besides the demo version, we already know - an dance version (which is the one PSB have choosen for Numb) and a lower ambient version, which maybe someday will find the way on a Further Listening disc.

Can anyone say what Neil sings in the background at 2.35 and 2.43 (around the "The promise of a diamond ring" line)? Thanks!
