I really love the concrete album it is a perfect compromise between a normal live album & a studio one.
But great as it is there strike me as being one glaring omission from the set list! "It couldn't happen here". Every other project PSB have undertaken is covered Liza, Dusty, Closer to heaven, Battleship etc. but not the film. Also if you read Neil & Chris's notes in the Actually Further Listening booklet it states than an arrangement was done by Angelo Badalamenti but because Stephen Hague hadn't arranged an orchestra to record it Blue Weaver did it all on a fairlight.
This would have been a perfect opportunity to here an orchesteral version of this great song so its a shame they didn't do it.

I've always felt this song is one of the best they have ever done. I love it!!!Roundhead General wrote:I really love the concrete album it is a perfect compromise between a normal live album & a studio one.

Oh come on, 'The Great Gig In The Sky', surely?!
I can see the Autechre thing. Maybe the PSB one's a bit more... delicate, with the typesetting and stuff. But definitely. Didn't they actually do an opaque case a while ago too? I'm not sure if that was the same set of designers, though.
