Favourite PSB Moments

There have been many highs. A few lows too, well one real Lowe! Boom boom.
Here are some of my favourite PSB moments:

Performance Tour - June 2nd, 1991, Birmingham NEC. Me and my brother stood, gawped, danced and cheered. The bass went through my chest and This Must Be The Place I've waited Years to Leave didn't leave my head for weeks.

PSB standing in for Simon Bates on radio 1 - Cheesey house all morning years before it became 80% of the playlist. Chris' "f***" faux pas regards Sabrina Johnston's 'Peace'.

Go West radio exclusive - Simon Bates (obviously a friend) played it once, then again, then AGAIN all on the one 3 hour show! Well worth bunking a day off school for.

So Hard radio exclusive - I waited by the radio, finger hovering over the Record button, then Simon Mayo played it. "This is f***ing brilliant" me and my bro' agreed. "Maybe its about Chris' willy?" I pondered, worryingly for a 12 year old.

So Hard on Wogan - Chris stomping off at the end of the synth stab. Stroppy get. Brilliant.

Neil on the electic chair, during the first tour I believe (can't remember for sure).

Definitely when the PSB took over a show, on Radio 1. But even then, the music they played is lightyears better, than the crap now.

Wednesday 19th July 1989 in seat 54, row 1 in Wembley arena to witness Neil & Chris in the flesh for the first time. What i'd give to have ONE MORE CHANCE of going back.

My favourite has to be the "Performance" tour. No show quite like it ever since!

Seems like not too many fans have favourite PSB moments

Can't shut yous up when theirs a b-side/ formatting/ marketing strategy to bitch about but ask you name a favoured PSB moment and, er, 3 responses in 24 hours

I felt really proud when PSB stood there on stage, on Trafalgar Square, on September 12th, 2004, to perform their soundtrack to Battleship Potemkin.

I also loved the way Rent unplugged was introduced on tour: "We've never actually been asked to play on MTV unplugged... " (Neil raises shoulders)

I've loved them since 1986 but THIS year has been the best for me!! Radio 2 audience....the best and meeting them outside afterward. Then being lucky to get to the New York signing. There was also the time way back at the Savoy theatre. Being at the front with my hands on stage, standing next to Dainton as he danced and touching Neil's shoe

Oh...and this year again, at Tower of London....shaking hands with Chris

My probable fave moment was when I first saw PSB live - the last night at the Savoy theatre. Specifically, the moment they both came out of theie respective screens onto the stage. A brilliant, brilliant moment for me. That night was spoilt only by me having paid for a much better spot than the disabled place I was forced to take.

Another great moment for me was when I first heard 'So hard' on the radio on the coach back from school. It seemed an age since they'd released anything and it was great to have them back, and with such a good, trendy, modern song.

1984, some Belgian TV studio.

August 1981 in an electronics shop on the King's Road.
I was just searching for a scart plug when a bespectacled nerdy looking book-worm type brushed past me and made his way over to a cute, scally looking lad who was playing with graphic equalizers over the other side of the store.
It was 4 or 5 years later whilst listening to an interview on Liz Kershaw's radio 1 show that I realised I had actually witnessed the birth of PSB. Has to be my favourite moment.

You're certainly highly intelligent, knowing at age 3 what graphic equalizers and scart plugs are
