I wonder what might be the reason for
decisions like that. I mean not releasing
anything what's released elsewhere ...

The original popart usa release was just in the past month. It wasn't a reissue. What was found on the store shelves a couple years ago was an import...

How even a single TV performance makes things different! Immediately after the show, "Discography" jumped to the top 200 at Amazon, hovering there for a few days, and now we are back to square one, somewhere between 1000 and 2000, the eternal ride of Discography ..Three or four more performances and they will shift a quite load of albums, it seems.
The CELL by Stephen King instantly hit number 1 in New York Times Bookseller Lists selling well over 200 thousand copies in three weeks. This affirms my opinion: People really need an occassional good horror read...

I finally saw the video, and it was a nice performance and they mentioned and showed chris & neil several times during the broadcast.

It was a nice performance and West End girls sounded great and the crowd seemed to really enjoy it.

Again in front of 20 million viewers, not bad.

Yes it was all good! Just I think they should have sang a new song. In the average American's non fan mind West End Girls is the only song they sing.

It may be an intentional move. You know what sells in today's USA is only rubbish hiphop and rap. West End girls is the closest thing to rap in PSB backcatalogue. In fact, it is the reason why it became number one in USA and why it shifted so many copies of Please. I don't think Please would reach number 7 and sell over one million if the average public knew that it is actually a Europop album. The second album, Actually barely climbed to top 25.

Who would care about Integral or Flamboyant except real PSB fans and Europop lovers which are very scarce in number in USA

I dont think the PSB need to do rap to get America's attention. But make some well crafted electronic alternative music like Moby and the Chemical Brothers. Just be themselves and follow the format. Since American radio is utter crap and they are reluctant to try bands such as Goldfrapp. Maybe the Pet Shop Boys need to sell their songs to products to help expose the nation to their music.

They dont play the newest songs by many electronic or dance oriented musicians/bands.
Most radio stations would love to play the newest songs by Goldfrapp, Pet Shop Boys, New Order and Erasure, but the stupid program directors bind the disc jockeys / music presenters from playing them. Thats why Goldfrapp had to license their songs to LG and Target.

Thats why radio stations are sucking and the ipod reigns supreme.

On my blog I have an essay why American radio sucks.
