The Pet Shop Boys: Neil Tennant in Conversation
The Pet Shop Boys are one of the most consistently successful electronic pop duos with 38 chart singles since they were founded in 1986. The longevity of their career has been attributed to their ability to create melodic pop/dance music with intelligent lyrics and striking style. They have also pioneered a distinctive and innovative variety of visual styles in their album covers and videos. In this event, which coincides with the Gallery's display of photographs, Neil Tennant discusses the creation of their image and their work with leading photographers with Philip Hoare, author of The Pet Shop Boys: Catalogue, and the writer and cultural commentator Michael Bracewell, author of The Nineties: When Surface was Depth.
Tickets: £5/£3 concessions. To book ticketed events call 020 7306 0055.

I still have to see the tour dates first before deciding. I need to know how much money to save for the gig.
I´ll have a work experience in the spring so I can´t do so many other jobs at the same time so I don´t earn so much money.

"It´s fundamental that we do only exist in our own universe. When you like Pet Shop Boys, you are in our world. This is absolutely crucial to our entire outlook...what we do has an incredibly strong identity and applies only to us. It´s a case of not recognising the existence of anybody else!". Neil Tennant.

Does that mean they'll probably be taking questions from the audience too, or do you think it will be like a "live interview" by the two other guys...?
Anyway, I'll probably call them up and book one tomorrow. Do you have to pay with a credit card when you call them, or can you pay when you collect them?

The talk will take +/- one hour but the event is almost sold out as I could read in a mail I got from the NPG (asked them how long the talk would be). Be quick and CALL NOW if you want to be one of the audience!!
