As an infrequent poster, I have to say I agree with StevePSB in this case. Whilst it is true that PSB news is a little quiet at the moment, once these forums descend into chaos, as this one appears to have done, it's an uphill battle to get back to normal service. Hopefully some new PSB news will help......

Of course, now we're going to have the usual myriad of comments slagging off the moderator, slagging off moderation in general etc. It's happened before, and it looks like its starting to happen again. It's clear that one person appears to have been the catalyst to all this, but why everyone rises to the bait, I'll never know.

As I've said, I'm not a frequent poster by any means, so maybe don't have a right to complain. I'm not going to stop coming here, not at all. I'll just filter through the dross.

Bring back the good times!

As you did not allow the right of reply to your rather rude and patronising message, I thought I would give you my opinion- The "problems" as you describe them are largely down to one particular user on this forum and their constant posting of crap day after day after day which has greatly spoilt the enjoyment of the forum.

Instead of trying to excert authority where you have none and making veiled threats from behind your PC, take the relevant action and deal with the individual in question. I guarantee that if the particular poster disappears so will the other problems.

What on earth makes *you* think a moderator of this board doesn't have the right to point out people's posting behaviour, when *you* spend approximately 25% of your own messages criticizing other people's contributions. To illustrate this even further, you're currently displaying an autograph saying "Satanas out"... I don't think this is in line with the forum rules, is it?

It's apparently one of your goals on this PSB forum to criticize other people's contributions to this forum, while telling the *actual moderators* of this place they have no right to do so. It appears to be your goal to cause stir, just because.

The polite warning (just a warning, no measurements at all) StevePSB posted here doesn't even contain 10% of the rudeness of your average message, constantly whining about how user A should stop posting this, how user B should be banned, how user C should be dealt with in private and how user D..... etc etc.

Go and buy yourself a good mirror, will you? And leave the moderators of this forum alone. *They* will act when *they* it's necessary, not when *you* think it's necessary. If they want to take actions against particular users, it's up to them. They're absolutely not obliged to consult *you* before doing so.

Firstly, Steves post was neither well worded nor written. I admire your efforts in sticking up for him but you really are deluded if you consider what he posted as well meaning and polite........

Steve chose to post his message in public without the right to reply or debate, that's why I started a new topic. The same thing happened recently at Aimoo. My opinion is that if one or two individuals are causing problems then it would be better management to address them individually and privately rather than making threats to the whole of the forum.

And I have been part of the dot/aimoo/community forums for over 3 years now and it's only since Satanas returned to the forum recently that I have posted in the way that I have. Nice to see that you have time to count all my posts though to calculate what percentage are on each subject. Shame you didn't consider that when you posted 400 messages recently about the ommision of Seriously from PopArt- that was seriously boring reading I can assure you.

I'm not the only person that has a Satanas message on my signature though.

As for the mirror no thanks, I'm far too ugly- a face only my mother can love!

Roy has a point, Mad. People like you and I and others are sticking up for free speech as devoid from moderation and censorship as possible, but how does that fit in with your constant calls for Satanas to be banned?

Yes, she irritates the hell out of me, but I don't get angry about the constant hahahahas, bold type and smiley overdoses because she clearly is someone who has some deep-seated mental health problems, so I don't get wound up by it.

It would help if other people did the same.

While i believe in free speech, i do feel that the inclusion of santanas in the house (hope i'm not infringing on copyright) is the main cause of any problems. Somebody can start a nice new thread and then santanas will say some complete nonsense, and then people react. I think it's about time that it departed from this forum.

I am one of the people that complained to the moderators. I complained about Bigboy and Techno bringing ALL the topics down to their personal chat. It was amusing at first, then it was irritating, now it's both disgusting and hard to take. When there's a thread about Being Boring (instrumental), I open it to read about Being Boring (instrumental), not about... well I guess you can imagine what BB/TTM contribution to the thread is about. These two flooded the off-topic section already, but the PSB Discussion section has NOT been created for us to read about the contents of Bigboy's bum.

I think Steve's post is neither patronising nor unkind, unlike madhatter's post which is BOTH purposely offensive towards Steve AND patronising. Don't like what the moderator says? Go create your own forum and moderate it the way you like. It's not you and me that set the rules and when you create an account here you have to read these rules. If you disagree with them, nobody forces you to stay.

True! This whole thing happened over on Aimoo. It got old then, and has remained old and dead since. Reading a topic for 2 minutes and then having the next 15 posts be about the same sexual comments is honestly irritating. Since people have spoken out, take it for what it is worth and understand that it just has ta stop. It is not about free speech, it is about being annoyed by the people in the corner giggling at how candle wax dripping on their cupcakes reminds them of....cumming on a cupcake! Over and over again. There are 128 colors in a big box of crayola crayons, use the maudlin papaya turquoise. It is as fun as New York city boy, and can be sharpened when it dullz.

Moral of the story is; always tip your waitress if she likes candle wax dripping, just tip in moderation.

I see nothing rude and patronising in StevePSB's post. Besides, these kinds of problems are never down to one person in any forum, because if everyone ignored that poster, there would be no problem. It is indeed depressing to see thread after thread decline into endless smutty one-liners that have nothing to do with the original topic of the thread.
