Talking of Madrid concerts I've seen on YouTube some of the clips from June 2002 concert...I can see why they considered the whole thing "too dark" to be released, but in musical terms that tour was just fantastic...

Here, when they played a festival in summer, cameras were also prohibited. But maaany people had them (incl. myself). At the entrance, no one care about my bag (they checked some though) and security during the concert was only after videocameras.
