Surprise: PSB & Yoko Ono

#1 Post by Nickname »

Surprise - 18 June '05
Pet Shop Boys made a surprise appearance with Yoko Ono at the conclusion of her concert at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London last night.

Yoko Ono played as part of the Meltdown Festival (curated this year by Patti Smith) with her band which includes her son, Sean Lennon. After the band had left the stage, Yoko returned and introduced Neil and Chris. The three then performed Pet Shop Boys' "electro" remix of "Walking On Thin Ice", Yoko singing and Neil and Chris each playing a keyboard over the backing-track. Pet Shop Boys' regular programmer, Pete Gleadall, helped to mix the sound.

Meanwhile Neil and Chris are still busy recording tracks for their new album with producer Trevor Horn.

Thanx. I haven't found any as well. I've been on
'Rex Features' and 'Getty Images'.
I've typed in 'Pet Shop Boys', 'Meltdown Festival',
'Yoko Ono', ... err yes, and I've googled on these
matters without any result.

Yours,
Time On My Hands ...

The Beatles - John Lennon -> Yoko Ono -> Pet Shop Boys :D

That's a nice connection of course, but I've never understood why Yoko has to sing when her voice is absolutely horrible... :boo:
