Question bout Robbie's version of "We're the Pet Shop B

#1 Post by catcat »

Hello, all,

Another question about Robbie's song "We're the Pet Shop Boys".
Did Neil's voice is kept when singing the chorus "We're the Pet Shop Boys"?
Also, it seems that Chris's voice is also kept during the rapping part in this song:
"Rent, shopping, being boring.... "

Is it true? :)
Thanks!

Cheers,
Catcat

Partly true. During the chorus, you can hear Neil singing in the background.
However the spoken part in the middle (Rent, Shopping, Being Boring...) was re-done by Robbie Williams. You don't hear Chris there.

Yep, you do. It seems to me that this version is basically the original PSB version with Robbie's vocals over the top. Very technical!!

I'm going to re-listen tonight. I thought I heard Robbie doing the spoken parts. If he indeed does, the difference with Chris doing them is indeed very minimal.
