Grand Theft Auto 4!

#1 Post by West 4th »

Just watched the trailer for this a couple of days ago!!! Unfortunately I won't get getting it as I don't have a PS3 and they're WAY too expensive to even consider getting one.

I'm quite happy playing GTA: Vice City Stories at the moment on PS2. :D

Great news. I didn't think a vice city stories game existed. I wasn't too keen on Liberty Cities though.

The last 2 proper GTA's have been fantastic.

I've recently got an xbox 360 and it's the dog's bollo*ks. I've been really impressed with everything associated with it. I was a bit dissapointed with Gears Of War though. THe game wasn't really long enough and it was basically the same thing throughout. Shoot the aliens and move on.

Vice City has a bit more depth to it than Liberty City - which was over quite quickly.

I got San Andreas when it came out and I still play it quite regularly now - 2 years after release. It's great fun! :D

san andreas is pretty awesome.I love the idea you really dont have to play any missions if you dont want to. I just sort of like going around the city exploring or creating mayhem and getting chased all over town. it truly looks and feels like an alive enviroment.

the new one looks exciting, I wish more games would take advantage of this whole free roaming concept. it blows away games where you feel like you are on a preset rail. I wish they would expand this concept, add things like zombies/aliens etc etc.

What, no link to the trailer? Tssk. Here it is. I love it just for the Philip Glass soundtrack.

I'm not going to be an xbox mainly because then all my current games would be useless and there's still some that I haven't finished yet. At least with PS3 most of the older games will still work on it the way it did from PS1 to PS2.

Are the games for PS3 all blueray or still just regular DVD formatted?

Same here plus I don't want a PC in a box with a fat controller

Most of the current ones are on DVD atm from what I've heard... I've also heard that resistance is on a Blue Ray Disc though...

I'm not planning on buying one till some RPG's come out and the price drops by say £100-£150...

I hear you. It seems just too expensive to spend that kind of money.

I just wait for it to transfer over to the PC. I notice the graphics on my computer are alot crisper than my brothers xbox GTA san andreas although I'm sure the new one will look awesome on the 360.

I'm still going to wait.

Well, I've completed the main story in Vice City and, to be honest, it didn't take much longer than Liberty City. It was good fun, though. Just need to do the rest of the side-missions now. I'm still only 42% of the way through the game. :?
