I can't sign up as pethead on the official site!

#1 Post by Riikka »

I've tried to create a petheads profile on the official site, and sign up for a newsletter. It doesn't work out, but instead I get the following error message:

I've tried it from three different PCs, so the problem probably isn't at my end. But there's no technical contact info on the official site, so what can I do? Damn those server issues!

Are you using illegal characters in your username or something? Or is anyone else having this problem?

I'm just using my first name (Riikka). My last name has Scandinavian characters, but I removed them and tried again, so the problem isn't there. I wondered if you should enter something specific for the postal code, but as I tried leaving it empty, it warned me. So I entered just zeros. So, everything was supposedly okay when I clicked the Submit button - and then appeared this error message. I'm getting crazy

It's because you're from Finland. The official site doesn't allow for any more Fins to registrate. Instead Fins are suggested to go here: http://www.petshopboys.proboards61.com

 Now this surely WAS a joke (I might be fooled easily because I'm such a serious person!)..., but thanks for the link of the forum. Just wondering why there has to be that many separate PSB forums around. Having just one would be more handy.

I guess I will just have to wait and see till someone solves the registration problem.

I had the problem and started this thread in February. :wall:

viewtopic.php?t=15818

So I think it's been this way most of this year (2007).
The O.S. has no contact-us link, so there is no way to report it.

Very frustrating. Image

I had similar problems when I tried to renew my Literally membership online via the official site.

Have you tried using Firefox? I have heard of a few posters who couldn't access the OS at all using Internet Explorer.
Prick up your ears.

also have this problem since the start of the new design. Althrough I was registered long before, I can't find myself there anymore. But it wasn't that important for me yet.

Someone should hold up a banner at the next gig saying: "The link for creating a Pethead profile on the official site is knackered, get it sorted!"
