We've just put out our new online single "Regrets". We'd like to hear your opinions on it if you have the time and inclination.

I just discovered a pretty crucial mixing mistake in that first version. I'm currently uploading a new version where this is fixed. It should be up in 5 minutes time.

Forget the intro start the song at 44sec and have you got a version in your native tongue Partyanimal is just back from a 10 day visit again to Kobenhaven and Malmo

Nope - I've only ever done tracks in danish with my exgirlfriend back in the day.

Dear foreign mumber Blueswan,

I usually never comment on peoples tracks as usually I don't have anything encouraging to say but this is very good. A rather understated intro and the song suddenly sheds it skin and becomes something else after 44 seconds. Very 80's, a nice groove and rather catchy. Nice track.

The vocal, particularly during the intro, reminds me a little bit of the lead singer of Soulwax.

oh man this track is seriously good.
I'm also lovin the lush opening intro, but when it gets into the sort of throbbing bassline it really gets going. nice really defined melody and it really takes off on the chorus with those really cool synth stab chords you use. they play really well off the bassline.

the octive divided vocals also, I love how the vocal production has gotten on your songs as compared to earlier tracks as I really love his voice.it just sounds more in your face now.

I'll be listening to this.

It's funny how PSB fans always think I sound like singers from bands I have never heard of, while non-PSB fans always think I sound like Neil Tennant

Okay, this is very very good. This is what you should sound like. Very impressive. Definitely a song that all PSB fans should enjoy. Up there with your best works so far, which is saying a great deal. I like how you're going back to the 80's and I still think you sound a lot like Gangway and Loveshop - not the same instrumentation but the general atmosphere is similar.

A couple of things: I think the intro is a bit out of style with the rest of the song - the break at 00:43 is a bit hard. And what song is it you're mimicking in the part of the song that follows? It sounds rather familiar.

I appreciate your comments! I can see the Gangway connection - not so sure about the Loveshop connection, but if you say so.

This song started out by me trying to mimic the basic arrangement of the excellent 12" extended mix of Samantha Fox's "Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now". I then changed the chord structure completely, and changed some of the sounds so it sounded much less like it. It was only after this that we wrote a vocal melody for it.

Incidentally, we've got another song coming up that actually does use the chorus chords from "Nothing's Gonna Stop Me Now", but on that track, the production sounds nothing like SAW.

So that's how inspiration from one track can become two completely different tracks.

Hi BlueSwan,

I like this. It's very good.
I like the intro and the main part of the song.

But I am not convinced about the transition from Intro to "Main".

Perhaps Intro can have a few seconds overlay with Main or ...
expanded the Intro could be your Acoustic Remix.
