Psb in Second Life

#1 Post by markus »

They should play a gig in SL like Suzanne Vega did. It got her lots of publicity...I had forgotten she existed prior to that.

Also they could be the first ones to make a music video created in SL, that could be their first one in ages to be played on MTV! (Wo hoo!)

How about it?

Suzanne Vega's greatest hit was a song called "Tom's Diner" back in 1987 - the chorus was just

"dip-dip-dee-dep, dip-de-dee-dip, dip-dip-dee-dip, dipp-de-dee-dipp"

quite a funky tune for the late mid-eighties...

Marlena on the wall and Luka are other songs by her which springs to mind. But indeed DNA's remix of Tom's diner I think was her biggest hit. I like her voice and it's nice to hear her now and than played on the radio.

Hi Markus,

Great idea. I am thinking of try 2ndlife myself as I have time on my hands.

Even if The Boys dont do a concert perhaps we could build a presense there first.

A PSB club house ?

those sounds come from a Caffe she used to visit/stay while studying at the Columbia University in NY. (Broadway @ 104th Street)
I was there some years ago and it's incredible funny because there's a coffe machine which does this funny sounds while preparing the expresso. She took that sounds from that place called TOM's DINER.

BPSB
Neil Tennant has a great voice, Chris Lowe has great silence.

I saw an article in FHM a couple of months ago where one of the journalists joined Second Life - very funny.

I saw an article on a Brazilian magazine as well.

My conclusion after reading it: "second lifers" should get a life.

yes, I think people who use second life don't have their first life... if you have your own life you don't need a second one for sure

Hey,

Correct. I dont have a life. I am at home alone due to long term illness.

So whats the harm.

I think 2ndLife is a bit of a fad. But it is interesting to see how the world is changing.

According to the article it looks like some sort of freak land. The images showed Ewoks, a Chinese ladyboy and a woman being shagged by a horse in "Crack Alley"! Oh, and a shop where you can buy a penis. :?

You'll need a penis for your virtual wife to make the virtual babies.
You can then virtually divorce your wife and go into real life therapy to help you deal with that and the loss of thousands of dollars of real money you've spent in a virtual world. Brilliant really!

Seemingly, some people have managed to make quite a bit of money out of it. Whoever owns the penis shop must be on to a winner!
