Re: Disco 4 / New single / Wednesday's OS news update
This is very not written in the style of the official Page. It sounds lame. Neil wouldn`t put a news item like this on the page.Gin Soaked Boy wrote:Integral will be a lead in for a very confirmed Disco 4 due in Britain on 10 September 2007.

Here is another post by him. Upon till now there is no proof for this either. But if there is news on wensday also this can be seen a whole new light. There are no assumptions to be made here. You're correct. I have heard both the demo and the 7 inch mix by Richard X. All that remains of the original demo in the extended mix that we all own is the bassline and some of the lyrics. What Neil and Chris gave Richard X was pretty messy and he did wonders with it. In the demo the sample of the plane is identical to the one used in the disco mix of What have I done to deserve this?. In fact it even includes "stand by for landing." This is followed by the "buh-buh-buh-buh" portions heard around 5:04 in the extended Richard X mix (Neil's voice through a "vocorder") then goes into the lyrics. Richard X performed marvels with what he was given and the 7 inch and demo are both boring. The true genius of the song we all know is the product of Richard X not the Pet Shop Boys.
Another interesting fact: the song was originally intended to be a spoken/sung hidden track at the end of Fundamental like Postscript was on Very.[/i]

doesnt tale a genuis to know where these mis-inforation threads come from.
most likely from the other forum that has become so much of a quiet stuffy museum they come here to start drama just so they can have something to giggle about over there and extend a feeling of life for a few more precious moments.

Yeah... this is not uncommon. Over the years in this forum (and the forums that this forum "descended" from), from time to time a new member would pop up out of nowhere, and claim to have insider PSB info... either in the form of news and/or new tracks. As the Undertaker said, 99% of the time it's pure bullshit.Undertaker wrote:No, it happens here every now and then from the same few people who claim they are 'in the know.' 99% of them are bullshit. We have had a couple of good April Fools ones, to the rather desperate and pathetic Fundamental still sealed that was released months before the proper release![]()
Dave
One common feature of these "info" posters is that 99% of the time, they'll refuse to give you any sources or proof that the info is in fact correct. Then the next move is that the "info" poster gets quite huffy when asked for some verification.
Sigh
As for the whole Disco 4 news... I think it may be true, especially if some on line web sites have it listed. But then again, as someone already pointed out, "No Time For Tears" was listed on some (Japanese, I think) on line CD sites as an upcoming release.
However, the info about the Official Site "info" sounds suspicious

I have actually seen the Integral single advertised for sale at a Polish-based online record store.Undertaker wrote:No, it happens here every now and then from the same few people who claim they are 'in the know.' 99% of them are bullshit.
