Yes, Sinead ... it could happen ....

#1 Post by Naughty Zoot »

I found this snippet from an interview with Sinead O'Connor about her new album:

Over the years you've collaborated with Massive Attack, Peter Gabriel, Terry Hall, Jah Wobble, Moby, the Blockheads... the list goes on. Is there anyone left you'd like to work with?
"Sure, sure. There are about 150 billion people on earth and I've only worked with a few! You know Dusty Hoffman, is that her name? Who's the artist who did 'You Don't Have To Say You Love Me'?"

Dusty Springfield?
"Dusty Springfield! I was thinking of Dustin Hoffman! She stopped working and then she did this track with the Pet Shop Boys ('What Have I Done To Deserve This' - fact fans) and she was quite old when that happened. So anything can happen. You never know, I might be plucked out of old age to make a record with the Pet Shop Boys."
I like it here ~~ wherever it is ...

One day she could find herself being referred to as Shayna O'Connell...

Guess, she's being too optimistic.
"I think it’s an amazingly good album, I’ve got to be honest with you. It’s one of the albums I feel most proud of. But for people who don’t really know us, and have a sort of an idea about us, ‘Electric’ is more what the Pet Shop Boys are meant to be."
(Neil Tennant, speaking about "Elysium" on the eve of "Electric" release.)

Sinead's best track, Nothing Compares 2 U (written by Prince), sounds as if PSB produced it. It's a great synthpop record. I'm sure PSB could deliver some great tunes for her :)

Having sang back up for her on Dusty's last live TV performance (Jools Holland) I think Sinead O'Connor will know very well who Dusty Springfield is. What an inane comment.

hadn't she grandly announced, yet again, that she had left the music business - what a surprise she's back
Still waiting to hear the Adam Freeland, Manhattan Clique and Axwell mixes of Integral.

Ah yes her new album is fab! I like it alot. I do not think that she would ever work with PSB. Her music is all her own and she is not much into that PSB sound.

Wasn't that Wotapalava tour cancelled after Sinead O'Connor pulled out?

Yeah that is a great song.

She also lost alot of popularity in the U.S. when she refused to play at venues in the U.S. in the early 90's that had the U.S. Flag displayed. This was when she was somewhat popular and could almost fill up the larger venues., I think this was also during the time of the first Persian gulf war or shortly after. All of the Veterans did major protest at her concerts.

Words cannot describe how I feel about this person. And if I used them I'd be banned.
