Fundamental era weakest link - Round EIGHT

#1 Post by BlueSwan »

Round seven started off as a close contest between Twentieth Century and I'm With Stupid, but in the end Twentieth Century was just too weak for the rest of the field and got booted with a substantial 7 vote lead over Stupid.

Only 12 tracks left. Let's see what happens now - several songs received a number of votes last round.

Psychological
The Sodom And Gomorrah Show
I Made My Excuses And Left
Minimal
Luna Park
Casanova In Hell
I'm With Stupid
Indefinite Leave To Remain
Integral
Fugitive
The Resurrectionist
Bright Young Things

Voted off:
13. Twentieth Century
14. Numb
15. Girls Don't Cry
16. God Willing
17. Blue On Blue
18. In Private
19. Party Song

I vote for "I'm With Stupid". Let's get rid of it now!

This is where it gets tricky, there aren't any tracks that I dislike or I'm indifferent too. However, the lovely Indefinite Leave to Remain draws the short straw.

Harder and harder it gets... I can't really decide between three songs, but I try again with:

BRIGHT YOUNG THINGS

I'm with Stupid
"I think it’s an amazingly good album, I’ve got to be honest with you. It’s one of the albums I feel most proud of. But for people who don’t really know us, and have a sort of an idea about us, ‘Electric’ is more what the Pet Shop Boys are meant to be."
(Neil Tennant, speaking about "Elysium" on the eve of "Electric" release.)

Indefinite Leave To Remain altough I don't consider it being a bad song at all.
