dVTB wrote:Agreed, but if you look at the current PSB tour, there's a similar pattern... From Bilingual, only a fragment of Se A Vida E is played, from Nightlife exactly nothing, from Release only an accoustic version of Home And Dry... - that's it.
Yeah, it was the same when I saw them in Sweden a year ago: acoustic versions of "Before" and "Home and dry" but otherwise nothing from those album or Nightlife.
Also I was a bit disappointed that they didn't perform more slow numbers; apart from the acoustics the only ballad was "Dreaming of the Queen".
When they recently played at Hultsfred's festival, one reviewer pointed out the fast that it was too much focus on the 80's hits. He also missed songs from Nightlife and Release.

I watched it when it was on C4 but the sound had gone on the TV... gutted!

I went to get Cubism as soon as it was out and never thought about buying A Life In Pop, completely forgot about it. I went to try and get that the week it was out but gave up after the cretin at Virgin in Crewe thought I had asked if there was any "Petshop Boys - Alive In Bob" in stock. Idiot.

Instead of that, my version has the video but it isn't printed on the sleeve.

Mine doesn't have Flamboyant, dammit. But back to the original topic, I watched this DVD for the first time a couple nights ago. It's a lovely couple of hours with the Boys. The sit-down interviews were good, but I also enjoyed the more candid, behind the scenes bits, like the Potemkin rehearsals and performance.

I do not know why they skipped discussing the albums after Behaviour and the tours. When it first started it seemed really in depth. But that was it.

15 minutes later.

Here is the link to where we covered Flamboyant on A.Life.I.P.

Basically you need an @1 version of the DVD.

A life in Pop - The best documentary ever - hell, yeah!

Afraid not for me.

Nothing can beat the 6 part The Beatles Anthology, well wrong PSB could, but it was way to short 3 hours of 20 years work :| when just 10 years of The Beatles and you get 6 hours documentary.

I remember the Beatles Anthology on TV (circa '95/'96?). Great series.
